Yes you can repair this. Sounds like the valve springs and the rubber valve seats may be worn. There are repair kits available at Lowe's, Home Depot, Wal-Mart, ect. for these faucets. And they usually come with the "tool" you need to remove the faucet handle and the cap and seal nut. After that, it's pretty straightforward, and easy. Two springs, two seats, and an O ring or two, and your'e done. Just make sure to shut off the supply lines to the sink before you start and open the faucet handle to remove any pressure left after you cut the water off. Tighten the cap or seal nut securely after the new springs and seats are in, and you should be good to go.

Kirby heritage 2 handle wont stay in the upright posision keeps falling backwards

Two things; your bag may be too full and needs replaced. (it doesn't take much to make them top-heavy) or the pin at the back of the base of the handle is not extended.

The lever that turns the water on doesn't stay up. Can't lift the handle halfway to get a little water because the handle falls to the off position.

Sounds like the collar that locks down the stem is in need of tighting to get some resistance to hold handle in place.
Remove handle to acces this collar and to tighten.

The battery door on my hp photosmart M525 cracked and will not stay shut, therefore batteries fall out. I used a piece of tape keep the door shut, but it is a nice camera and I want it to work the way it...

Okay, from what you are saying its the weight of the battery that makes the battery cover fall of so i would apply a little, emphasis on little bit of glue before i put in the battery to hold the battery in place so the battery stays in even when the cover is not in place, then find a more stylish way of keeping the cover in place, maybe A LITTLE glue to the ridges that the cover slides on will be enough, you wont have any problem prying both lose when you have to, A LITTLE, lol , Hope this helps..

The unit is several years old - the float keeps falling in and the unit shows full -can I get a new float and will that fix the problem?

If the float falling in tells you its full probably not. Unless the float floats off a switch. Then a new float that wont fall off would probably do it.

If the float keeps falling off...why not tie a small piece of fishing line to it and suspend it above the switch? It will stay where its needed until water lifts it up.

Detergent bottle keeps falling off, wont stay put and clean water isn't emptying at all

The tank assembly needs to be replaced. Keep your tank handle. The other problem is your water not dispensing. There are electric solenoids and a pump that control dispensing soap and water. Take it to a repair shop for complete diagnosis before you replace the tank. The new tank is better, both soap and water tanks are in one assembly

Handle will not stay open

the reason behind this is because when its part opened theres not enough pressure to keep it open, but when you open it highre it stays open, another reason could be due to the water outlet strainer being blocked, remove this & give it a clean out & see how it goes?
