I have the same problem. I usually just
pull out the usb cable once I'm finished syncing.
I don't think it does any damage.

There is no such thing as safely remove for the MP3 player, it's safe when you are not transferring any files.

My Samsung YP-S2 Mp3 player can't be recognised by computers when I plug it in through the usb input (it used to work), therefore I'm not able to upload music on it anymore. How can I fix this bug?

Samsung Player Is No Longer Detected By Windows XP, Vista, Emodio Or
Samsung Media Studio.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
When your computer doesn't recognize your Samsung MP3 player, programs
such as Samsung Media Studio (SMS), Emodio, Windows Media Player
(10 or 11) do not allow you to transfer files to your player.
In SMS and Emodio, the portable icon appears grayed out.
In Windows Media Player, you are prompted to connect a device.
Your PC may fail to recognize your player for a variety of reasons.
To begin troubleshooting, scroll down, and then click the operating
system your computer is currently running.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
General Operating System Information
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
On Windows computers, Samsung MP3 players require at least Windows XP
Service Pack 2. If you have an older operating system such as Windows
2000 or Windows 98, your computer won't recognize your player until you
upgrade your PC to at least Windows XP Service Pack 2.
If your PC is running Linux or MAC, it will not recognize some MP3
players that support only MTP mode. However, it will recognize players
that support UMS mode and list them as mass storage devices.
The following Samsung MP3 players support UMS: YP-U1, YP-U2, YP-U3,
YP-U4, YP-U5, and YP-S2.
The following Samsung MP3 players support both MTP and UMS mode: YP-Z5
and YP-P3.
Windows Vista may fail to detect you device if the player is not
connected properly, Windows Media Player is not installed or has become
corrupted, Vista is unable to install the MTP drivers, or the MTP patch
is not installed.
You can check it out further by going to this website and entering the information about your player

I can't put photos in my YPT10 using Samsung Media Studio.

If that is not working try doing it the drag and drop way:

1. Connect one end of your USB cable into the USB port on your MP3 player and plug the other end into an empty USB port on your computer.
2. Double click "My Computer" on your desktop. You MP3 player should be listed as a hard drive. Right Click it and select explore.
3. Double click the "Media or pictures" folder, then drag your pictures into this folder to download them to your player.
4. Double click the "Safely Remove Hardware" button on the bottom right on your screen, then locate your player on the hardware window. Click "Stop." After the popup windows says its OK to remove your device, safely unplug your player.
5. Turn on your player and select "Pictures" on the main menu to view your downloaded photos.

Samsung yp s3 doesnt work on xp

I have Windows XP and Media Player 10.

I had same problem with Samsung media studio not recognizing MP3 player. Here is how I fixed it. With the MP3 plugged in, I had to go into System/ Hardware/Device Manager and find the S3 driver under "Windows portable Media" and uninstall it. Then unplug and replug the S3 into the usb so that driver gets reinstalled.

Then I decided windows media player and samsung media studio are unnecessary for transferring music files to MP3 player.

Instead I go into Portable Media Devices from the control panel and just treat the MP3 player like a usb device. I copy folders of music and songs into the Music folder on the MP3. For me this is way easier than the Samsung music studio or Windows Media player.

Samsung yp-u3 mp3 cant create playlist

  1. Open My Computer.
  2. Right Click on the YP-T9J, then Left Click on Format
  3. Click OK at the warning message where it states that Formatting will erase all data on the device.
  4. Click on OK once the Format process completes, then close the My Computer window.
  5. Right Click on the icon of My Computer, then Left Click on Properties.
  6. Click on the Hardware Tab, then click on the Device Manager Button.
  7. Locate either Portable Devices or Windows Portable Devices and click the plus to the left of that to make it a minus.
  8. Right Click on the Samsung YP-T9 and Left Click on Update Driver, this will start the Hardware Update Wizard.
  9. If the first screen asks if you would like to connect to Windows Update and you are currently connected to the internet, select Yes, this time only, and then click on Next.
  10. On the next screen keep the default setting (Install the software Automatically (Recommended)) and click on Next.
  11. The wizard will search for an updated driver and once this is complete, click on Finish.
  12. If the Samsung Media Studio program does not open up at this time disconnect the reconnect the YP-T9J and this should then open the program.
NOTE: If this does not fix the issue, first try to uninstall then reinstall the Samsung Media Studio Program

You have to update the driver of you player.
Click on START menu and RUN.
Type in devmgmt.msc and click ENTER.
Now you Device Manager will pop up. Look for your player under Other Devices or Portable Devices
Once you find it, right click on it and select Update Driver (make sure the installer disc is in your CD drive).

Unable to Safely Remove YP-K3J

the people that say to ignore the safely remove device - are mistaken.

all i can suggest is go to the manufacture of the computer and make sure all your device drivers are up to date.

and depending on your OS - windows update site or the linux / mac / other repositories to make sure all those are updated as well.

Unable to find usb device in media studio

Does your device show up as a separate device in windows explorer? If so you may drag and drop files directly onto it.

Alternatively you can download alternative free media players like winamp and rhapsody which do the same job as media player.

If your device does not show up in windows explorer then you may have a usb problem on your Samsung media player. This is most likely to be a hardware fault which I don't know a free/cheap solution to.
