If you are able to print normally from this model, despite the 'stuck' faxes, then it could be that you have been sent a document that is not the same size as that in your tray. Try cutting A4, if that is what you have, down to 'legal' and see if will move on to next page. If this works, cut some more and print job till finished.
If the above makes no difference, you may have to do a memory reset to clear a corrupt fax record. Caution! this would clear all faxes queued in your machine.

I have an Canon Pixma Mp 496 can i know how much documents can i print with it in fast mode. and also the capacity of those two cartridges

Well, here's what Canon says. In my experience, you can expect to go through a black cartridge in about 500 sheets of paper, less for the color. Our Canon uses ink quickly. The printing speed is pretty fast for a printerthat is for black-and-white documents around 8.4 ipm and a color document printspeed of about 4.8 ipm. While for 4R size photo print takes about 43 seconds.Canon PIXMA MP496 resolution of 4800 x 1200 dpi for (max). It is said the all-in-one, because already integrated between print, scan and copy. For copies, this printer has a speed of around 7.6 cpm for black and white documents, while for the color is obtained at about 2.6 cpm.

Lexmark Z53 prints photos on 'normal' but enlongates image on 'best'

I'm getting around the problem by using Windows or Nero print options to get the photo as near to the size I need. It would be good if I could print photo's from Photo studio though much simpler and less time consuming.
