Computer doesn't notice MP3 player

When I hook up the Sandisk Sansa e250 MP3 player to the computer, it charges, but the computer acts like nothing was hooked up. What should I do?
Also, when it charges, the charging screen doesn't come up but instead, it plays music while charging.

My computer cannot detect my sansa e250. When i connest the usb theres nothing happen, it only charging. Please help w/ this problem.

The power and data wires inside USB connectors are separate, so it's possible you have a bad cable. What operating system are you running on the computer?

Sansa e250 wont charge when plugged into the computer.

Sounds like the internal battery needs to be replaced.

Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Sansa e250...computer will not detect

If you are using a USB connector [that connects extra ports to your computer] it sometimes doesnt work... so if possible hook the USB sansa cable to the main ports in the back of the server. It might also work to hook it in, and then go to 'My Computer' and see if it shows up there. Good Luck =]

SANSA E250 IS NOT RECOGNISED

There are two connection settings in USB: MTP and MSC. For some reason MTP is the default, but it doesn't connect properly on all computers. Select MSC and plug the player in again, the computer will recognize sansa e250 but not show the driver just yet. It is installing recognition software (just basic drivers - nothing heavy) and it doesnt tell you what its doing until its complete. WAIT FOR IT. Once it is complete you will see both the sansa e250 and the removable memory slot in your "my computer" now you're good to go.

Sansa e250

Take the screws out of the back, take the battery out then put it back in again. This worked for me.
