Water flows unneccessary from the cistern in the toilet; being wasted. How can I stop it? Can you give me some tips please.Thank you.

persistent running is problem valve washers either in the water level control or the flush washer under the press buttons
low pressure will take a longer time to fill but when the level is attained the water will stop flowing in

adjust the float setting or the setting on the unit around the inlet pipe
this is achieved by screwing up or down on the threaded section read the instructions as you may have to fit a pressure regulator before the cistern tap if utility pressure exceeds the desired operating pressure of the cistern

toilet will need syphon replacing. the lid should lift of the cistern, some have the push buttons screwed down to the syphon and to remove them just turn the ring around them anti-clockwise.

It could be your flushing mechanism inside the tank that is letting the water in even after the flush. First flush and watch the bottom mechanism whether it blocks completely when water is full in the tank at set level and no more water flows.

Mechanism that releases and shuts off water should be checked if any part has disconnect or improper connection.

*** STEP 1 ... DISCONNECT THE MAINS POWER SUPPLY!!!! ***

You'll need to drain the main toilet bowl of water and remove the toilet bowl away from the sanoflo. This may require that you also empty the cistern and stop the water from entering it (do you have an inline valve to the cistern supply pipe?)

When you have emptied the water and removed the toilet bowl there should be a large Jubilee clip attaching the saniflow to the WC waste outlet. Loosten this and remove it so you can see into the saniflo where the WC waste goes.

You should be able to see the object and reach it with your hands. I would suggest wearing some rubber gloves to protect your hands from getting gunk in cuts etc.

If you cannot get to the object, you'll need to empty out the other pipes to the Saniflo and remove the unit. When you have done this you'll need a star driver to open up the unit and get to the object inside. I would suggest that since most of the saniflo range have an internal grille to stop objects such as this actually hitting the macerator that you should be able to reach it just by disconnecting the WC waste connection

hi i would suggest your ball valve in the cistern needs ajusting remove the top of the cistern you will see the ajustment screw at the end fo the ball **** arm hope this helps

it sounds like one or more of your shut off valves has a glog from hard water calcium. were from indiana its a big problem here.To check this u will have to shut off main water supply and remove top of shut off valve and check for white crusty blockage, even if u see a few particals its present. It can severely restrict flow.

Firstly open the top of the Cistern(Where water is held)There are two most common Cistern internals ie;Ball-O-Stop(Ball on a arm connecting to valve). This one is easy, you just bend the arm downwards in the centre so that the ball shuts the valve at a lower level; The other type has a shaft(plastic) with a thread on it, connecting it to a "small bowl" that lifts up as water enters the cistern. To adjust the water level in cistern you have to turn the thread(Shaft) lowering the "small bowl" wich will shut the inlet to the cistern at a lower level. Hope this helps
