Cannot find the right driver of canon powershot a200 for vista

Unfortunately, no it's not possible for Vista. Canon did not update the drivers for many of its older cameras for the Vista operating system (yours included).

But there exists a good, if not better alternative way to download your photos. Please don't take the following as a sales pitch as it's not, but please see this blog article, as it describes the use of an inexpensive card reader as a much easier, faster, and less error prone way to download your photos. In fact there are several important reasons discussed in the article for using a card reader vice downloading from the camera. USB Card readers are also very inexpensive these day, with cost virtually not an issue:

Canon did not update their drivers for many of their cameras under the Vista OS. In order to download photos, you'll need to do the following. Sorry, but it's the only way:

There are no drivers available to make the Canon PowerShot A30 work with Windows Vista. Your best bet is to get a CF card reader ($15 or less) with a USB connector and put your card from the camera into it. Windows Vista will recognize the card reader and the photos without any drivers.

If you do not have the software, you need to download the software from one of the following locations:

After downloading is finished, unplug the USB and run the software that you downloaded.
The software installer will tell you when to connect USB.

Some Canon camera is not Vista compatible and cannot work on Vista.

I had same problem. Called Canon and found out A40 is not compatible with Vista so there is no driver. But you can download pics to your Vista by purchasing USB Memory Card Reader/Writer you can find at Walmart for about $12.00. You put your Flash card in device and has USB that plugs in computer for downloading pics.

hey flota......i see that this camera takes in a memory card......so good news....U dont need drivers for the camera...lol...u can directly download the pictures on to the computer by connecting the camera to the computer.so if u wanna know the detailed procedure plz get back to me n i'll try my best to help u out....good day....
