The simple, short answer is yes, the Whirlpool Duet washer and dryers can be stacked. You'll need to check with the Whirlpool folks to see if you'll need a stacking kit, or if they are ready to go with what you already have.
The key to stacking these Duet laundry pairs, is to have both the washer and dryer model numbers when you contact Whirlpool, so they can provide you with the stacking kit needed to mount the dryer on top of the washer. You can also check the Whirlpool web site to get a good idea of how much space is needed for a stacked set. Here's the link for the space checker, just look under the Guides and Tools on the left side and click on the Laundry Space Sizer to see what's needed.

You can also call Whirlpool at (866) 698-2538 and speak to them about your particular washer and dryer.
Hope you find this Very Helpful and best regards!
Yes - with the proper stacking kit.
Thanks for using FixYa - a 4 THUMBS rating is appreciated for answering your FREE question
We stacked ours, it works quite well and was simple(other than lifting the dryer). The kit is pretty much a roll of tape/foam rubber to put on the bottom of the dryer. It was very straight forward.
