Hello,

Make sure that the memory card you used is compatible w/ your camera. If same issue persists after using the compatible card, camera is unable to detect the memory card. Card compartment is defective. call 1.800.235.6325 for repair.

Thanks.

This is a common error in the EasyShare product range. When you receive a "Card Error" or "Card Not Initialized" message, this indicates that your camera's memory may be temporarily corrupted. This can be due to not formatting your memory card on a consistent basis. Most users will use the "delete all" feature and continue to take pictures but by doing this the file format of the card may become unstable and unusable.

Kodak and others recommend formatting your memory card in your camera after saving the images from your previous shooting session. Once a memory card is formatted the images will not be recoverable. So format the current cards and they should be useable again. If this keeps happening put the card into a PC reader to see if it can be formatted or read by the PC then place it back in the camera and use it or reformat it. If not then the card is most likely to be faulty and will need replacing.

SOURCE: memory card

Did you just buy this card or have you had it working for a while and now this is happening?

From everything i have read about your camera, they won't take a 2 Gig card. A 1 GIG card is the biggest that is compatible with this camera. If the card is new i would take it back to the store and see if they will let you exchange it for a 1 GIG card.

If this just started happening after using it for a while -- it could be a problem with the card or the camera. Try putting in a different card and see if it will let you format that one. If it does you know for sure the problem is with the card. If you keep getting the same message no matter what card you use, i would phone Kodak. But, according to Kodaks own site, 1 GIG is the biggest card that is compatible. Sorry I couldn't be more help.
Good Luck.

SOURCE: why is the camera stating memory card is full?

Hello, I have the same camera, I went to buy a Kodak memory card and the Representative was kind enough to ask me what digital camera, he said that the c330 will only take a 1GB SD Memory Card. Hope that helps.

SOURCE: My kodak easyshare c180 wont read a memory card

You should probably get a USB card reader, take the card out of your camera, put in the card and connect it to the computer. Then try formating the card through Windows using the FAT file system (not NTFS).

How do I delete pictures from memory card when pictures already imported when I turn on camera it says memory card & internal full I have a Kodak easyshare c180

Memory cards should be formatted each time you finish downloading pictures from it. This clears the card and prepares it for further use.

Press the MENU button, use left/right to highlight Setup, then use up/down to select "Format."

Memory card

I experienced the same problem with my Kodak C330. I took it to Walgreens and the tech stated that the C330 was created before 2 GB memory cards were invented; therefore, the software inside it doesn't recognize a larger GB capacity. In short, the C330 has a 1GB max capacity. Considering you can take 1200 pictures with a 1GB card, a larger size really isn't necessary.

Help with kodak M753 camera and memory card!

If you format the card, the pictures are gone leaving you with a blank memory card.

Format the card in your camera, then load it up in your computer and see if the cycle goes away.

Once you get a picture on the memory card and in your computer, keep an eye on the memory specs reporting on the computer and see if there is anything unusual. I've heard of a few defective cards but its rare.

Camera Problem

I have been reading a lot of posts from people with similar problems. Apparently, when people try to fix this camera, they are told that the parts are no longer carried and are told to buy or upgrade to a new camera. I am interested in hearing more experiences from people on this camera. I work for a consumer rights law firm and we are investigating this. You can contact me at [email protected]. Thanks, Abby
