How do i make my pioneer super tuner 3d 2 unmute? if i try 2 turn the volume up it just keeps sayin mute and i havent been able 2 find a mute button on it any where?

    Good day. Mine Blaupunkt's model not sure but it's built in for Proton Satria Neo. Problem is sometimes volume will turn down or up itself or just mute. FYI horn is also not working and i already removed horn's fuse not sure it affected or not or battery or head unit problem. Thanks dude..

My Pioneer Super Tuner 3 D was working just fine. The face plate was removed by accident while it was operating. Once it was reinstalled the displays all still work but there is no audio any longer.

Hello justin_m_san,

Most likely the "mute" lead from the receiver is grounding or shorting against other wiring behind the dash. Without the exact model number, it's not possible to point you to the specific wire. But on the DEH-P5100UB, the mute lead is "yellow/black". I'd check all the wiring and insure that ANY unused leads are securely insulated and kept from touching other wiring or any metal.

  • Hello and thank you for the opportunity to assist you.

  • Are you getting any errors numbers? Any special icons on the screen? Cables hooked up properly?

  • Have you tried just turning the volume up to see if the mute removes itself? I know you press the knob to mute it but turn the volume up to increase the volume.


  • When you reset the radio did you follow these steps exactlly?

  1. Ignition off first.
  2. Then remove the front panel.
  3. Now engine on.
  4. Now press and hold the reset button for 5 seconds.
  • If your steps were different try this first. If they were the same then you need to reset the entire unit not just the processor.

  • To do a master reset the unit must loose power for a couple minutes. In other words unhook the power or remove both battery cables for two minutes and try it again. Make sure to have any codes you need handy before doing this procedure.

Try to unmute the headset. This may be your problem. The mute function is enabled through the volume buttons. Simply tap both volume buttons at the same time until you hear a mute tone. The mute tone when unmuting the call will be a descending tone. When you tap both volume buttons, if you hear a descending tone you have just disabled the mute function and your problem is solved. If the mute tone is ascending tones you have just enable the mute function and this was not the issue. If this is the case consult your user manual or contact Motorola for trouble shooting.

Proview TFT has got volume option mute , need to unmute it & dont know :(
navigate with the monitor buttons to the OSD (on screen display). menu button brings up the OSD. then use volume buttons to move around. there should be a mute option or indications by symbols how to unmute the sound option. if there is not, i would guess pressing two buttons at the same time might do it.
