This scanner should work with the XP 32-bit driver. The driver is here:
http://support.microtek.com/knowledgebase_1/kbdtl.phtml?request=KB-00106SW . See the link for other scanners. Unplug the data cable, uninstall the scanner if it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, then install the driver. After installation, connect the data cable.
The support site for this scanner is here:
http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=34 . This information is given in the Knowledge Base section if the other link doesn't work.
I know this will work with Win7 32-bit. I'm not sure about the 64-bit version. If the 64-bit version doesn't work with the above driver, you can either replace the scanner, use it with another computer with an older version of Windows, run a dual boot system with an older version of Windows and install the scanner only on that system, or run a virtual computer with an older version of Windows.
If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do the virtual computer for free. Download and install Microsoft's Virtual PC and XP mode. Install the scanner in XP mode as you would on any XP computer. The only restriction is that the files may need to be saved to external media to share them between the two computers.
All other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. (Virtual computer packages include VMWare and Parallels in addition to Virtual PC.)
I hope this helps.

(I have an older scanner that runs nicely with Win7 32-bit.)
