Need serial number for numark vitual vinyl dj v4.3

That will be located probably on the model number plate on the turntable itself. Or somewhere on the turntable itself.
Since it's unique to the turntable nobody else will have it.

you can use Vista driver in Windows 7 using Compatability Mode.

Step required..
1. Right click on driver installation file.
2. choose properties

I need a driver in order to be able to use my Sony voice recorder ICD-P520 on Windows 7 64 bit

Unfortunately, Sony does not support this recorder under Win7 64-bit. See http://esupport.sony.com/US/perl/swu-list.pl?mdl=ICDP520&SelectOS=27 for the available drivers. You can try the Vista or WinXP driver with the compatibility mode. (This may involve allowing unsigned drivers since there is no information on 64-bit compatibility on either the Sony or Microsoft Vista Compatibility site.)

To try this, download the driver and right click on the installer. Then choose Properties and then the Compatibility tab. Turn on Run program as Compatible with the appropriate OS. Then right click again on the installer and choose Run as Administrator.

I do not know if this will work. A method that will work is to use a computer (virtual, dual-boot, or true second machine) with an older version of Windows installed. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can create a virtual XP computer for free. Download and install Virtual PC and XP mode from Microsoft. Install them in order. Then install the XP software from the above site in the virtual computer and it will work. (Other virtual computer programs are Parallels and VMWare.) All of the other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. Please note that the virtual computer can't share files directly with the main computer. You'll need to save files to external or removable media (optical media or flash drive, for example) to share them.

I hope this helps.

I have a microtek i320 scanner I used with win XP Since upgrading to Win 7 it no longer works. How can I upgrade my driver? Can I buy the proper driver without buying a whole new scanner?

This scanner should work with the XP 32-bit driver. The driver is here: http://support.microtek.com/knowledgebase_1/kbdtl.phtml?request=KB-00106SW . See the link for other scanners. Unplug the data cable, uninstall the scanner if it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation point, then install the driver. After installation, connect the data cable.

The support site for this scanner is here: http://support.microtek.com/product_dtl_2.phtml?prod_id=34 . This information is given in the Knowledge Base section if the other link doesn't work.

I know this will work with Win7 32-bit. I'm not sure about the 64-bit version. If the 64-bit version doesn't work with the above driver, you can either replace the scanner, use it with another computer with an older version of Windows, run a dual boot system with an older version of Windows and install the scanner only on that system, or run a virtual computer with an older version of Windows.

If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do the virtual computer for free. Download and install Microsoft's Virtual PC and XP mode. Install the scanner in XP mode as you would on any XP computer. The only restriction is that the files may need to be saved to external media to share them between the two computers.

All other options will require a licensed version of the older Windows OS. (Virtual computer packages include VMWare and Parallels in addition to Virtual PC.)

I hope this helps.

(I have an older scanner that runs nicely with Win7 32-bit.)

I have a CanoScan LiDE80 that wont work now with my new operating system, Windows 7...when trying to install it.. says I need drivers but can't find compatiable one??? Any suggestions as I love this...

Do you have Win7 32-bit or 64-bit? If you have the 32-bit, the driver you need is here: http://www.usa.canon.com/cusa/support/consumer/scanners/canoscan_series/canoscan_lide_80#DriversAndSoftware . This driver works for Win2K-Win7. This is an unsigned driver and probably will not work in Win7 64-bit.

In my experience, Canon is very poor at supporting their scanners for 64-bit OS versions. In fact, they do not have a Vista 64-bit compatible version of the drivers for this scanner.

The only solutions I have found are tedious. 1) Keep your old computer that works with the scanner and transfer files on a USB drive or optical disc (RW is better for this). 2) Set up a virtual computer with an OS that works with the scanner. If you have Win7 Pro or Ultimate, you can do this for free. Download Microsoft's Virtual PC and the XP mode package. Install both in order. For other versions of Win7, you will need a virtualization program (Parallels, Virtual PC, VMWare) and a licensed version of XP (or other OS that will work with the scanner). Set up the virtual computer program and install the OS.

Next install your scanner to the virtual computer and use it in that "machine". You may need to transfer files to external or optical media to share the documents. You can't install a printer on both the virtual computer and the real computer at the same time (at least with XP mode).

I hope this helps.

(I tried using the compatibility mode and accepting the unsigned driver for a Win7 Home Premium 64-bit machine for a different Canon scanner. It didn't work and I have dealt with a number of old hardware and new OS issues over time.)

My cannon canoscan lide 20 lide 30 driver, dose not install with windows 7

Do you have the 32-bit OS or the 64-bit OS? The Canon drivers will work in 32-bit Win7. However, Canon doesn't support these scanners in the 64-bit OS. The only way to make the scanner work in the 64-bit OS is to run either a dual boot system or a virtual computer with a supported OS. The Vista x64 bit driver doesn't work even if you use the compatibility mode.

If you have Win7 Ultimate, you can download Microsoft's Virtual PC and the XP mode for free. All other virtualization software options (Virtual PC, Parallels, VMWare) require a paid (licensed) version of the OS. Then install the scanner in the virtual computer and transfer files to external media to share it with the main computer. Dual boot systems have the same restriction of needing a valid OS.

I'm not aware of any Canon drivers for this scanner under UNIX.

I wish that I could be of more help.

Cant install drivers on windows 7 for ub funkeys

Up to now, there is no W7 drivers yet.
UB funbkeys software was designed for 32 bits systems, so you should run it on a 32 bits O.S.
If you don't want to back to an old O.S. like XP. You need to install a virtual box inside your W7. I recommend you Sun systems virtual box. This allows you to create a shell , where you can "install" another O.S. like winodws XP. This permits you to run 32bits games based on a 64 bits system, via the virtual shell.
I know this is a solution feasible to advanced users, but it's the one I can provide to you.
