I need a circuit diagram for my Motorola SurfBoard SB5101. Specifically, I need an alternate location to attach my jtag header to (or at least where I can solder wires to), as I think I burned out the contacts on the lpc where it's supposed to go, and I can't see well enough to trace them myself.

You can't see well enough to trace, but you want to perform detailed solder work, after burning out contact already?
Perhaps it is time to purchase another unit...

SOURCE: how to connect my motorola surfboard sb5101 cable

Hi turn both modem and PS3 off. Then connect the ethernet cable from the modem to the PS3 and then turn the PS3 first. Then after the PS3 is completely on, then turn the modem on so the PS3 will get the modem's IP adress.
I recommend you get a router and connect it to the modem and the PS3 to the router. It's way better. I hope this helps.

What kind of router do I need to get so I can get wifi out of a Motorola Surfboard SB5101 Cable Modem ? My PC isn't wifi compatible but I have other equipment that are.

You will want to get a "Wireless N" Router, also known as an 802.11n Router. Price range is up to you, but here is a relatively cheap one that performs well: http://goo.gl/Szjovd

I am trying to use the usb port on my surfboard sb5101 DSL modem but it will not find any driver software for the usb port.

The USB driver is located on the CD that came with the modem. Connect the USB and when prompted to install the driver, insert the disc and load the driver.

You need to input IP and DNS information in windows. I can only help you where to input but you need to contact your ISP for IP address.

No connectivity; constant blinking LED lights "Receive" and "Send"

Or you didn't pay your subscription on time and the ISP disabled your cable modem to send user traffic over the cable network. When both Send and Receive lights are blinking that is a visual aid that the modem is working fine, but the ISP disabled its access to the network (unpaid bill, legal issues, etc.)

Motorola SB5101 port forwarding

Try putting 192.168.100.1 in the address box of a web browser. If the modem is provided by your ISP you might need to call them if that won't work.
