Can't get TV onto the AUX channel

I plugged in a DVD player to my TV (10 year old RCA model F25254GY), and need to put the TV onto the AUX channel to capture the signal from the DVD player. I don't have the original TV remote (using a universal remote now, from Time Warner Cable), and the TV has preset channels of only 2, 3 and 7. The TV used to go to the AUX channel if you hit Channel Down when you were on Channel 1, but now Channel Down from Channel 2 just loops back to Channel 7. i need to know what channel to use for aux to play playstation, most channel,s have 54-003

I have a new rca receiver and have it hooked up to my dvd player which works fine. I have it hooked into my tv and Im not getting sesurround through my tv how can I connect to the tv to make it work my tv...

Take a clue from the 10-year old vintage of the TV and the two analog audio cables. It's Dolby Pro Logic Surround at best, not Dolby Surround in the modern, digital, multi-channel sense.

TV's are not the source nor the end of a multi-channel audio chain. Feed this thing a 2-channel source from a Cable Box (into the "TV" jacks), DVD, Video Tape or CD with proper Dolby Surround encoding and will seem to open up the sound field a bit and kick in a little surround effect. It can also simulate a Hall effect and Dolby 3 stereo.

How to hook up dvd player to tv

You need an RF modulator to convert the A/V output (RCA jacks) of the DVD player into a Coaxial cable you can plug into the back of your TV. I'm including a link to one at radioshack.com. This one costs $27.49. You might be able to find a cheaper one at a discount store. You can also use an old VCR if you have one to do this conversion but the connections get a little bit tricky. Plug the A/V outputs of the DVD player into the A/V inputs of the VCR. You'll have to set up the VCR so it knows to use the A/V inputs. Some VCRs have and AUX setting for this. Then connect a coaxial cable from the VCR output to the TV input. You'll have to setup the VCR to send it output to a specific TV channel, usually channel 3 or 4. Then you'll have to set your TV to that channel.

hi there
open up your dash get 1 short RCA cable (red and white) male ends on them
now place the red and white RCA into the back of DVD in-dash player next step the aftermarket CD player should have 2 rca plugs that say aux put the other end red and white RCA cable that you just put into DVD unit into the aux inputs on back of CD player when this is done reinstall both units back into the dash now on your CD player press the source button till aux appears once this is done you will hear the DVD player sound...........now if you press the source button and no aux appears......hold down the source button till the CD player powers off...........once CD player is off hold down the F (function) button till beep or unit turns on a display use the skip buttons or F (function) button to go threw features once you get to aux turn aux to on now hold the source button down again till unit powers on normally once this is done press source button again till you find aux........if you get sound and the TV doesn't work let me know and ill guide you to get that running too (if there are no aux RCA plugs on the back of CD player) let me know (sometimes there is a headphone looking plug on back of CD units) if what i told you doesn't work let me know the brand of CD player you have so i can give you correct setups I'm only going by your in-dash DVD player right now
hope i was able to help get you sound

RCA model F27252GY TV has no Video button or AUX channel for DVD

try putting the tv on channel 00, that is where this tv apparently shows the input from at least one on the video channels.

RCA f20580wn 20" TV about 20 years old

Hopefully you have the problem solved.

If not, the RCA plugs, listed as input 1 and 2 are shown on channel 91 and 92.

I recommend connecting the DVD to either input. Turn on the DVD. Then run the auto programming function of the TV. It will find and program the channel for the DVD. Then use the channel up or down on the remote you are currently using and you should find a working DVD.

Hope this helps.

Can't get TV onto the AUX channel

You can purchase an RCA universal remote that will let you access the A-V inputs. These only cost about $10.00 or so. Stargazer
