Hi there just like to informed you that 2 reason can make a noise.
1. low or old battery's using.
Solution: replace it if too old or charged it fully.

2. Lens error. Internal lens guide pin if damaged then the camera goes off with bad noise.

Solution: repair or replaced the lens guide pin.

Try these procedures.

If it's making noise when turned on you are experiencing trouble with the lens. If you send it into repairs they can fix that. Give them a call at 800-706-2534 option 2.

"lens error" will only be fixed by sending into repairs. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2. Tell them you have a lens error and they will tell you where to send it.

Ok, first try resetting the camera. In the picture taking mode press menu, go over to setup, go up to reset, press right arrow, make sure reset is highlighted and then press set. If that doesn't work there is nothing to do but send it in. It may be from any form of damage sustained to the lens. 800-706-2534 and keep choosing option 2 and they will tell you where to send it.

Not real sure on that one. Sorry. You can check the casio.com website and see if they are the same size. If they are they might be interchangeable.

It's the focus lens gears. The often times get knocked out of alignment by an impact, or debris gets in there. This can be fixed, but Casio won't help. Hint...google my username. ;)

Defective mechanism, a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.
