You must manually configure the wireless settings. Go to Network and Sharing Center > Manage Wireless Networks. Remove all the listed network there. Then click Add > Add Network in Range > Select your signal > Type the security if you have and press connect. That should do it.

I have a d link d1 514 router. I'm unable to open 192.168.0.1. if i put the internet connection wire in LAN then I'm able to get internet access using cable but if i put the wire in wan, I'm not getting...

carry out the resetting of the dlink router
then use lan cable to gain access to dlink router,
set up the internet conenction (i.e. your internet provider modem plugged into the dlink router also)

if it has a built in wizard then just follow the on screen instructions

you will need to define SSID (wireless network name) and passkey (password for the wireless connection)

and the your done. disconnect the laptop from wired connection and connect via wireless

Can not connect to internet

My first guess is that your Dlink ADSL modem is really a modem router, so you are getting double routing. Sometimes this works just fine, though, so I'm not confident that's the whole explanation.
You'll need to setup your IP plan carefully
set the D-Link modem(router?) to bridging mode & the DLink wireless router does the login to Exetel.
DLink wireless router WAN side: DHCP + login to Exetel
DLink wireless router LAN side: 192.168.0.1
Subnet 255.255.255.0
DHCP on: range 192.168.0.10 to .20
DNS Servers: 220.233.0.3, 220.233.0.4
with PC's wireless adaptor set to DHCP
so picks up eg:
IP address: 192.168.0.10
Gateway address: 192.168.0.1
DNS Servers: 220.233.0.3, 220.233.0.4

There is an Excellent signal but it's not connecting

That´s because of the ip assignment you have to set the ip of the router in the same net work ip scale of you modem that connects you to your isp example if ip modem is 192.168.0.10 then the ip you must set on the wan port mustbe 192.168.0.100, also check that you are connecting the out of the modem to the wanport on the wireless router.

Hope it helps

Cannot connect to DLink DIR-655

The part below is all you need to look at, the rest is Ethernet which is your wired connection, ethernet card.

Here is what are causing your problems from what you gave me and basically your computer is not communicating with the router:

1)I don't see any IP address for your laptop so you can't get on the internet if you don't have an IP address, also, I don't see any gateway address. The gateway address is your router address, and that address is given to the router automatically from your Internet Service Provider.

So if your computer cannot see the gateway address then the gateway address (router) cannot give you an IP address to get on the Internet.
Your Wireless card looks ok, that is the physical address and if you were able to do the loopback then its working.

So on your laptop I would begin from the beginning. Go into network connections and delete the DLink connection if it is there. Then Start>control panel>Network connections>click wireless network connection>click change settings of the connection on the left window>click wireless network tab>make sure checkmark"use windows to configure my wireless network settings>click add a new network>TYPE IN THE SSID FOR THE NETWORK>ENTER WEP/WPA KEY>CLICK OK, then close and you should be connected.

You said other computers are able to access the internet thru the DLINK so it all points to your laptop not being configured correctly.

HOWEVER :)...I see alot of "Media disconnected in your list. Make sure all of the lights are working on the front of the router, if not check the cabling or call the ISP sometimes the problem is on their end. Hope this helps, keep me updated.

Can I print via my wireless network with HP OfficeJet 6310xi?

Nothing helps. Print servers are capable of connecting a multifunction printer for printing capabilities only. For scanning, you have to connect directly to the Computer or by a Multifunction printer with wireless capabilities.
