I have a HP Pavilion dv9000 17" laptop, and the wireless stops working for no reason at random. When I boot it up some times the wireless works and some times it does not. How do I fix it? It's not a virus, It's not the wireless card, And it's not the network. Also when it's not working it says "identifying" where the name of the network is and "limited connectivity" where the network status is at.
It is because your wi fi network adapter not getting ip addresses from router.
For that connect your router to computer with ethernet cable then access it with following link.
http://192.168.1.1
or
http://192.168.0.1
type user name as "admin" and password as "admin" or blank or "password"
then go to advaced and enable DHCP .
Then save and restart router.
Then go to your laptop go to my etwork places proeprty then right click on your wi fi adapter then proeprty then tcp ip and set ip get automatic.
Then it works fine.
Let me know if you need more assistanse.
Thanks.
