The wire connection at the back of the printer came out. I am not sure exactly where to replug the wire connection back in. I am not exactly overly computer literate. Thanks. Jean Kennedy

The printer has two cables namely the data cable and power cable.

The data cable connects the computer to the printer and the power cable connects the power outlet to the printer.

If the power cable is removed then connect the power cable to its respective port depending upon the type of printer.

The data cable on the computer end connects to the USB which looks like this.

The wire connection at the - 274d815.jpg
The other end depends upon the type of printer

It might look like any of these three

d1fcf36.jpg
The first one and the third one is used for single computers and the middle is used for connecting the printer to a network.

Look for ports similar to these and connect the data cable to the ports. Then the printer is setup.

Following this the software for the printer needs to be installed which is provided with the printer.

This completes the installation of the printer.

Kindly comment.

I will explain you.read it as follows. 1)In the back of the printer there are two connection.one is for power to the printer and one is for the connection between the computer and printer.if the printer is having power that means the power wire is connected.if no power then power wire came out.you can just see to back of the printer.you will see two sockets.1 for the power and other for communication with pc.just slowly insert the wire to the back.as both the sockets in which wire is to be inserted will look bit different.so you will easily be able to see that which wire goes were. its not at all dangerous.and not risky.just keep all the main outlet off before connecting wire. --------------- this will help.please do rate the solution.thank you for using fixya.keep updated.thanks.

How do I get A920 All-in-One to connect?

Hi Doris,
Please make sure the Operating System you are using corresponds with the printer driver. In other words, make sure the driver you're installing is compatible with the Operating System on your PC.
Check out your Operating System's compatible drivers for downloads from this Dell support site.
Make sure you unlock the scanner bed by pushing the scanner lock down.
Check the USB cable connections and make sure its secure.
If problem persists, return the product if still on warrant.

Hope this helps.Thanks!

Z1420 printer will not stay "on". All connections

Try to remove the power adapter from the back of your printer.
printmastert_44.jpg

Then unplug/replug the power cord straight to the power outlet. Bypass any power surge devices. Replug the power adapter into the printer.
If problem continues, it could be a faulty power adapter issue. Please contact Lexmark technical support for additional assistance.

No signal but sound is on

Depending on how you have the TV connected the audio signal wiring can be seperate from the video signal wiring.

You most likely have an HD Television:
-If you are using DVI, make sure that it is properly connected by unplugging then replugging it back in.
-If you are using Composite cables (The Red, Blue, and Green plugs) make sure those are in and that the Red and White cables are in their proper areas too.
-HDMI connections have carries both video and audio, so if you have this then unplug and replug it in.

Electric wheel chair

Sounds like a loose wiring connection. Remove the seat and the shroud to expose the inside of the chair, and beggining at the batteries, wiggle to make sure that they are secure at the terminals. then unplug and replug the disconnects as you trace back to the controller. At the controller, unplug and replug all of the connections there. Follow the leads going out to the motors and make sure those connections are good and tight, and all connections are clean. Unplug the joystick and replug it in and see if it works. These are phantoms and hard to find. Good luck.

Canon i320 printing blank pages- we have restarted, reinstalled print drivers and unplugged and replugged back in- any suggestions?

the only other options are replacing the cartridges, and if your printer has a setting for self cleaning, run it. Also make sure your cartridges are not expired when u put them in. Over time cartridges will dry up therefore the have an expiration date.

Displaying in purple and neon green color

Well I am not sure about that model but I had one do that and what I had to do was unplug and replug the LVDS which is the codt connecting the Main board to the screen. I am not sure exactly where it is located on that model but if you take off the back and locate the board that looks to be the "main" board. Then you have to locate the cord that connects to the screen, in mine it is a bunch of wires in a black covering, and unplug and replug it. I had to do this about 10 times to get the picture unfortionantly I already bought a new one but it now works.

Canon MX700 will not print black. All setting have been set back to default, all ink cartridges are registered as adequate. All maintenance features have been excercised and look ok, but can not print...

I've had this exact problem! You will need regular rubbing alcohol and some q-tips and some canned air (if you've got it handy since it's kinda expensive). Remove all of your print cartridges and then remove the print head. Turn the print head upside down and clean back and forth with a q-tip dipped in alcohol. Don't use the same q-tip too much, if one gets icky after a few passes, use a clean one. Then, while your cover is still up, run a clean q-tip dipped in alcohol over the gold prongs that the print head sits next to. Be careful, the prongs will "pull out" the q-tip so pass over them gently. Spray the connections with canned air, making sure there are no loose fibers around. I sprayed the whole inside. After I did exactly all of this, it worked-PERFECTLY. I have no idea which little step worked. Good luck!!
