PIXMA IP1500 My printer will not print text. Everything else seems OK. please can you help.

Service Call Error :>>No print head detected excepting print head replacement (during printing)
Replace the printer as it has failed.

You should try a different cartridge first, some generics don't fit all the way in and won't print, also make sure and remove the tape on the top front of the ink to allow air in and ink to come out when printing. When all that is OK you may need a new printhead,

Do you get other colours except pink?
If that is the case,reasons could be:
1. there is not enough RED or BLUE in the cartridge.
2. you haven't selected pink colour on the text or images you are trying to print.
If you are typing a document highlight the text you want in pink, and choose PINK color for the font.
Then print the document. The printer will use color closest to your choice, if it does not have the exact color.

please refil your black cortrigge.

Your printhead is plugged and needs cleaning. If you remove the inks and then the printhead, you can wet and fold a paper towel and just dab the printhead gently on the wet towel. When you see a solid black line on the paper towel your printing should be improved.

I had the same problem... tried reinking... tried running alcohol thru print head, etc, etc,.. turned out the print head had gone bad... replacing it fixed the problem. Probably not what you wanted to hear !... About $65 bux to fix it.. half the price of a printer... but if you have already got a stock of ink for it... and don't want to risk being unable to reink a new one on account of an imbedded chip... and the printer is otherwise in good shape... not a bad investment.

Do not throw it away. It has taken you so much cost ok?. Print blank can be caused by:

• Purge unit is faulty cannot **** ink from ink cartridge
• Print head is faulty
• Logic board is faulty

In some cases short circuitry in print head can cause this problem. Please be careful of this. Replacing print head can damage new print head. I suggest you to bring the printer to nearest service center.

Take a look at the mounting point. They break very easily on this model. If not broke, try cleaning with a swab and inserting the cart again.

Hi, check the nozzle and test , if the result not in solid color there are spaces within the color means need head cleaning after head cleaning twice test print .
