How do I do it. Please let me know if you can. There seem to be buttons for brightness and contrast (the l-arrow/ r-arrow buttons) but I can't get them to do anything. I've pressed control with them, control-alt-control shift... any combination of the above but nothing happens. I'm sure the screen is too dark. Please rescue me from darkness!!
Scree is too dark, I'd tried my battery power icon, there is not a way to adjust it, I would like to know how to adjust brightness on my laptop please?!

You have to hold down the function (fn) key and press the left or right arrows to adjust it.
