Its a hardware problem. I suggest pulling out the memory chips and re-seating them as sometimes they get loose. Its really not good news as it can mean a major part(motherboard, video card, CPU, hard drive) needs replacement depending on the number of beeps and how long they are. I suggest contacting the manufacturer for information about the beeps. Also if it is under warranty still they will cover this.
Your memory is bad or the memory slot on the motherboard is bad.If you have two and your computer will boot with a single stick, try this if it boots .You have a bad stick
goo luck
It maybe your graphic card or VGA but, the monitor wouldn't come on at all if that were the case. Good chance its the hard drive isn't operating at all. Does it even let you into the BIOS?
The problem is with the memory. You may have to reseat the memory and check if the system turns on. Else remove the memory, Hard drive and the optical drive and place it back in its place. If the system has more than 1 memory module. Check with only 1 in its place and turn on system. Then do the vice versa and check for the faulty memory module. If the system works fine with 1 memory module then the other one has to be replaced else the issue could be with the main board.
Sounds like bad memory sticks but id look it up that one long beep is telling you something?
