The Bravia menu comes up across my screen. It will go off when I hit any button on the remote & then come back on. the model # is KDL-32EX301. How do I get it to go away?

It's caused by the Bravia Sync feature. It doesn't always connect correctly. When there are issues then attempts to sync up cause the menu to appear.

The solution is to switch off Bravia Sync.

Go in to the TV's set-up menu, and choose HDMI Set-up.
Scroll down the menu list and choose Control for HDMI, then set the menu option to OFF

Let us know if that fixes the problem for you.

Sony Bravia stuck on Bravia screen

"Bravia Screen". Not sure what you mean. Is it in maintenance mode?

Option 1.. With the tv plugged in and the power OFF (this is called standby mode) take your remote (make sure it has fresh batteries) follow this sequence on the remote. You have to press the buttons within a second of each other in this order:

DISPLAY - 5 - VOLUME + TV POWER.

When the screen comes on hit JUMP right away and it puts you into a little screen for maintenance. Simply turn off the television to exit maintenance mode.

2. If your remote is bad, ie, new batteries don't fix it, might suggest a new one.

3. If you can't get a new remote, power on the television using the power button and then hit the menu button. Use the up and down keys to see if you are stuck in some weird screen or something.

4. If you are connecting something to the television (like a dvd, a playstation, computer, etc) try unplugging everything and test each port individually, using the side buttons as described in part 3 to change the input mode to the port you are using.

Hope this helps

Samsung PN58b530 tv and harmony 550. When setup have all devices set except when the tv turns on it stays on one hdmi setup then jumps to another that was not programmed.

Samsung TV's have Anynet automatic input switching. This severely conflicts with the Harmony Remote as they both do the same jobs; Switch inputs automatically. We would like for you to disable this feature on your Samsung TV using your original remote, so the Harmony Remote will work properly.

Disable Samsung Anynet+

1. Press your Tools Button.
2. Scroll down to Anynet and press your Select Button.
3. Once on the Anynet screen, please press your Left/Right Button(s) to select the Off Setting on the Anynet+ (HDMI-CEC)
4. Scroll down to the Auto Turn Off and select No.

Once this is completed, please turn off your TV and all device and power them back on using the Harmony Remote.

I have a sony bravia kdl 37m3000. We have cable and the wide screen would not go away so we unplugged the cable to reset the tv. Now the cable and the tv comes on but no picture.

Make sure you change the input that the cable is coming in on, If you was watching in HD mode then you was using an HDMI or compontet hook up.Look on tv remote for Video input button to select the componet input 1 or 2 or HDMI inputs which it is connected to. Look for a button on the remote called TV/VIDEO or INPUT

Help!

Try pressing the HDMI button on your remote a couple of times, pause about 5seconds after each press it might be slow to change. If this doesn't work try connecting just the yellow lead(composite video) into the DVD player to the TV like the old days, probably AV1 or AV2 in the back of the TV. Then access the setup menu(setup button on remote). This will bring up a menu. Use the down arrow on the remote until HDMI setup is highlighted. You should then get a selection to turn HDMI on and select the different outputs(576, 720p, or 1080i). You might actually find the picture to be worse on some DVDs.

HDMI and other outputs doent work

You may want to try a Manufacture reset. To do this you must first turn the TV off. Press in sequence.. Display-->5-->Vol +-->power on your remote(this sequence must be done fast). This should bring up a service menu. Press the number 8 and then Enter on you remote, The set should go off and on by itself. Now go through your setup and try the input again.
