Model is Toshiba 40XF355DB.
Bands are around 3" wide running vertically on left and right edges of screen.The bands are basically just brighter than the rest of the picture, but there is no other fault and no distortion - just a difference in brightness levels. I have heard of one instance of the same set having this problem and the dealer replaced the LCD panel, but the problem remained even after the panel was replaced.
Anyone any ideas?
(I did use to repair PC monitors for a while (years ago) so I'm not a complete novice)
