My lexmark X2500 is not connecting properly... my computer cannot find the printer. what is a compatible printer driver for lexmark 2500???

Please visit the Lexmark website to download and install the Lexmark X2500 Printer Driver on your computer. Select your operating system > click on "FILTER" > click on the driver under Recommended Downloads > download and execute the file. Simply follow the instructions on your computer screen to complete the installation.

Uninstall the existing printer driver first. On your computer, go to Start menu > Programs / All Programs > Lexmark 2500 Series > Tools > Uninstall. Your computer will then start the uninstall process. Reboot pc when prompted.

Go to the Lexmark website and download the quickstart guide and user manual for your x2500.Read it, then you will have the answer to all your questions. You can download the driver AND other software for your printer, and after installation, your printer will be recognised by your computer. You may not even need the driver, as the later operating systems, ie. Windows XP, include drivers for most printers.

Has nothing to do with who manufacturer of your computer...it is simply a "windows System" that's all that's relevant. What version of windows are you using? Perhaps it is Vista, and you are using an installation disc that is not compatible with Vista. Go to the Lexmark website and download from there. Not a bad idea even if you have a compatible disc...there may be a problem with it, if it is giving you errors.
Please provide more info on the problem your having, if the above doesn't help.

I'm presuming that you have an X2500 printer, right? The only other Lexmark printer with the 2500 is a wheel printer.
