I need a code to unlock my car radio for a 2000 Mitsubishi Galant, please... I have the information needed to do so... Serial number : 99224138A MR472958 Thank you so much!

I have a 1997 mitsubishi galant i have the serial number's off the radio and some other number's i need the code to punch in so radio will work please help

Call Mitsubishi Customer Service an give them your ViN# and your radio's serial number. 1-888-648-7820 Tell them your dealer wants to charge you $75 to do this so they will do it for free.

Call the dealer and ask if they can help you with the code and procedures. Your owner's manual should have the procedure listed in it but the code should have been in the papers that came with your car when it was new. Again the dealer is your best bet. They will need your vehicle VIN and maybe even the radio serial number.

Mitsubishi codes are only available from a Main Dealer or a Radio Decoding Service

Your code should be 2101.

Use the preset buttons to input the code. Preset 1 scrolls through digit 1, preset 2 for digit 2, etc.

Once the code is set, push the unlock button; depending on model the unlock button will be either CD, TAPE, or AM/FM.

I read on another site that if you get locked out, your radio will show OFF. All you need to do is keep your radio on for an hour. It will reset itself. Your car doe not need to be on. Not sure if this works, but it is worth a try and may save you $80!!

GETTING THE RADIO SERIAL NUMBER: <BR>
2000 - Carefully take the front panel off that surrounds the radio and temperature buttons, it will snap straight out. Wiggle the radio out about two inches, it is a tight fit. Get the serial number off the radio. It is on a sticker on the top, left side. Call a Mitsubishi dealer with the serial number. They will want proof of ownership, so have the title ready. After putting in the four digit serial number, hit the cd button and that enters it.The code is also written on an antitheft card that comes with the car and may be written in the owners manual in one of the back pages.

Leave the "off" display on for 1 hour uninterupted, then it will automatically reset back to UNLOCK CODE.
<BR> When you turn it back on again after that time has passed it will ask for "code". <BR> <BR>

My dealership offered to give it to me free over the phone, if I knew my radio serial number. Enter the code using the buttons on your radio. And write the code down, this will show up everytime your radio looses connection to its power source - the car battery.

pull the radio out write down the serial numbers on the back and call the dealer they should be able to give you a code good luck and please rate -jeff
