I have had this mouse for several months with no problems and now it won't work at all. I tried to resync, and to change the batteries and unplug the receiver but nothing has worked. The red light that is usually on in the receiver isn't on anymore, so I am thinking it is broken. Any tips would be wonderful!

Hi there,
Underneath the mouse and the keyboard will be buttons labeled "Connect", you will need to resync with the receiver plugged into your computer. Press the connect button on each device in turn and it will attempt to resync.
If this does not work the next thing is to test with fresh batteries, however it is unlikely that both the keyboard and the mouse would run out at the same time.
Finally try with the receiver right next to the keyboard/mouse, sometimes other devices can interfere with wireless signals (WiFi networks, microwaves, vacuum cleaners etc...).
Good luck!
Here are some trouble shooting steps you can try relatively easily....
If the mouse connects via a USB cable, try connecting it on another USB port while the laptop is on.
If it is an optical mouse, check to see if the LED(s) underneath are lit. Change ports until LED lights.
If you have another computer also with a USB mouse and it is working, try a mouse exchange. If the non-working mouse also does not work on the other computer and the mouse from the other computer works on your Toshiba Satellite laptop, the problem is likely with the non-working mouse.
Finally, If the non-working mouse is a wireless one, its battery may be dead. Try a new battery in it.
Try resyncing the mouse, especially if you just replaced the batteries. Press the sync button on the receiver and then the one on the bottom of the mouse.
You may have tried this already. Did you resync the mouse after adding new batteries to it. If you have not you need to hit the button on the usb reciever (thing that plugs into the computer.) Then hit the button on the mouse usually on the bottom of the mouse. That will resync the mouse to the usb reciver and it usually works after that. Thanks
Steven.

Turn the mouse over and find the small rest/connect button
on the bottom of the mouse and press it. This should connect the mouse to
the receiver and work properly. If not, try pressing the receiver button
and then press the button on the mouse. This should be done whenever you
change batteries or glitch. Hope this helps you. Bud
Unfortunately that didn't do the trick.
