Refrigerator was in the basement with 6" of water....

Refrigerator was in the basement with 6" flooding last week....and now it is not cooling....is it dead or is there an easy fix? It was in the water for around 45 minutes or so.

The model number is 25378989801.

The electric parts that got wet will need to be dried out. Try putting a flood light etc. shining on the bottom for a few days to see if it will dry it out, then turn it back on and listen for a click from the compressor relay as the compressor tries to start. Is the compressor motor running.If no check starter/overload relay.
Check to see if the condenser fan at the back underneath near the compressor is running. If no check fan.

Are the condenser coils near there warm or room temp. should be warm

check and make sure that the water fill valve does not have a crak in it usually not enough water in the defrost pan to cause any kind of flooding issue. it is either a bad water valve or a broken water line somewhere on the unit

Turn off the water at the valve going to the tank of the toilet. The valve is normally located half way between the tank and the floor, on a pipe leading to the tank. The water in the bowl will last over a week and should not be a problem. Good luck, I hope this helps Please rate me, Thanks
