I had the same problem. The volume was unstable when I turn it up or down or even at random times it went crazy. Anyway, I opened it up and saw the open metal parts, which are very vulnerable to corrosion. The parts I am talking about are the ones which is located around the pot, not the elements on the board.

I unplugged it and cleaned those parts. I used a solution which I made myself at home: carbonate with lemon. Mix them, wait till the puff goes away. Use a cotton swab to "brush" it on the metal parts. Any other corrosion cleaner will also do fine I guess. Be very careful to unplug it first and wait for it to dry before plugging in cause it may result in a short circuit.

Hope, this is helpful.

Just open the bass box and bring the amplifier board , in the volume position try to connect a wire between the lines and your speakers will work fine , but you've to test the balance and the volume level will be full , for more help contact with me >>> [email protected]

Have a Creative Inspire T3000 2.1 with broken volume control, where can I get the part?

You would need to contact Creative customer support, but based on past experiences with this type of product they will want you to send it in for an exchange and won't sell the part, but give it a shot.

Hello, I am looking for spare parts for my Creative Labs Inspire T5400 speaker system. 1. Volume Control 2. Power Supply Adpapter 13.5v

robert_cobb

Creative used to sell the replacement volume controls on there site but I guess they stopped selling them.

So what I would do is select your product at http://support.creative.com/

Then click on Contact Us

Next click on My problem is not listed

This will get you to email support. Send them an email stating that you need a replacement volume control and powersupply. They will ether refer you to Customer Service or to the RMA department to get a replacement.

Let me know if you have any more problems or questions

Creative Inspire 5300 Volume Control broken!

For those searching the answer "How to replace/repair Creative Inspire 5300 volume control":

Its simple : looking at the back of the suboofer, the pins are as follows from top right, clockwise : LED VDD , Balance pot middle leg, GND, pots + legs, Volume pot middle leg, on switch input. Connect one pots ends to GND and the other ends to pots +, connect a switch on GND and on switch input, anode of led to LED VDD, cathode to GND (there is a 1,8k resistor inside so no external resistor needed)
