Samsung LE32R7 Vertical lines problem

During normal viewing, be it through the aeriel, dtv or sky I can see faint vertical lines panning across the screen from right to left.
Normally, this is not noticeable, but it is most obvious during dark lite scenes when the panning vertical lines are most obvious.
Currently I don't have a DVD player attached.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Thanks in advance.

Plug the TV into a wall socket by itself, have seen this when TV was plugged into a power strip.

Regarding Samsung VP-W60B 8mm camcorder. Would a knowledgeable person be able to help with this problem. Looking through the view finder I see coloured horizontal lines across the left side of the screen...

If a Samsung Authorised service department looked at it, to get it working properly, they would replace all of the leaking organic electrolytic capacitors at a substatial cost.

Panasonic ctp2780sf no picture faint line going vertical across screen

There are two reasons for this fault. A fault smoothing capacitor at the video output voltage rail, or excess of screen voltage. These lines are called 'vertical retrace lines' technically. Check this link for more details. It has a post, which have information regarding this fault. Go to older posts there.

Dell 1720 screen

If you can see the vertical lines during POST, try to check the vertical lines in BIOS. If the vertical lines are there in BIOS, the only thing you can do is to replace your LCD screen.

Faint Vertical lines on Samsung LCD TV

Your correct, LCD's don't burn. This sounds like a defective main control module. I would take it in as soon as possible to have it looked at.

Vertical line on screen

Hi, This is a problem that's far too common among flat-panel and projection LCD TV's?and it's generally known as "vertical banding." If the lines are there all the time or intermittent but in the same location it is an indication of a bad panel. The panel driver can also be the cause of this symptom. Samsung panels have had issues with the connector that carries the LVDS signals to the panel itself, this is not serious and can be resolved and little cost. These faint vertical bars (often most apparent when the screen is totally dark or displaying a solid background, like the sky) are defects that occur during the manufacturing process, and while the worst offenders are typically screened out, many more make it to store shelves. Since you've pinpointed the banding and it's driving you nuts, also its under warranty, call the manufacturer and demand a replacement; in most cases, they'll capitulate and send you a new set, although you'll probably have to go to the trouble of packing and shipping back your defective TV (make sure the manufacturer covers your shipping costs).
