SOURCE: I need to replace the bent shaft that the chuck screws onto

I would go direct to Dremel.com or call them at 1-800-437-3635 and get the schematic and parts you need, I just checked and they have a parts diagram online that you can view. go to the section about manuals/literature and type in your model number. Good luck

My Hyper Tough Cordless Rotory Tool Model #AQ85000G

It sounds like your Hyper Tough Cordless Rotary Tool has developed a problem with its power supply or battery. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
  1. Check the battery: Make sure the battery is properly installed and fully charged. Try removing it and reinstalling it, or if you have a spare battery, try swapping it out and see if that resolves the issue.
  2. Check the charger: Ensure that the charger is functioning properly and is providing a sufficient charge to the battery. You can try using a different charger or charging the battery in a different outlet.
  3. Clean the battery contacts: Over time, the battery contacts can become dirty or corroded, which can cause issues with charging or powering the tool. Clean the battery contacts with a soft cloth or sandpaper to remove any corrosion or debris.
  4. Check the power switch: If the issue is still not resolved, the power switch may be the problem. Try pressing it several times to see if it's just a temporary issue with the switch. If the switch is defective, it will need to be replaced.
  5. Contact the manufacturer: If the problem persists after trying these steps, it may be a hardware issue that requires professional repair. In this case, you may want to contact the manufacturer for assistance or take the tool to a professional repair shop.
I hope these steps help resolve your issue with your cordless rotary tool.

I just bought my Hyper Tough rotary tool and used it once for 5 minutes. Now it won't turn on. What is wrong with it and can I fix it

Send it back, it is under warranty. Try giving it a tap to settle the brushes. Also, it may have cut out on a thermal fuse. Wait 15 minutes and try again. Dremel are the brand leader for good reason :>D

Do you mean the Hyper Tough AQ85000g 8 V rotary tool? If so, then the manual is available here: https://cdn.cnetcontent.com/syndication/mediaserverredirect/113cfb4553cb9da9ef12025a9230977d/original.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My hyper tough cordless rotary tool keeps stopping. It will only work for 5 seconds and it goes off and yes the battery is charged.

Some kind of jamming might be creating the problem. After 5 secs. tool heats up enough to make the auto shut off to work.
