SOURCE: can samsung q20 upgrade to 160gb hdd
It appears that it should work. I'm assuming that you are using Windows XP with at least SP2 on it. The new drive will most likely run at 5400 RPM which is faster than the original. This will improve performance.
One other thing that I usually do is update the BIOS when I do this. The current version is P 070E. You can find it here: http://www.samsungpc.com/products/q20_q25/q20_q25_bios/q20_bios.htm.
Good luck!

here are the driver software for this model ..You should download and install the driver and the software so to make the storage on your camera visible (download the large one ..the patch it may contain all drivers for all os) ..
Normally ..after the driver is installed you should see the hdd of the camera as a drive in my computer folder..or ..use the import wizard ..or the software provided on the disk ..but you need to have teh driver to assure communication ..
If the usb cable seam not to work (for some models the usb only allow to download pictures and use as web cam ..) you should try the other connections ..fire-wire would be good if it has..but I believe it has a hdmi connection ..but I think the usb will work if you follow the correct path ..Install driver ..install the cyber-link dvd suite ..and it should be seen as a removable disk in the my computer area..
I also attach the manual if you do not have it ..cause in there it is explained he procedure..at the page 90 ..
