SOURCE: Sharp SF-2014 developer
Hello Gus,
IF the Toner/developer is spilling out towards the rear of the machine then the developer unit is going bad. A common problem with this model was the rear bushings in the developer unit would wear out and start to leak. If you take the developer unit out of the machine, put down some newspaper, and tip the developer unit (OVER THE PAPER) about 15-20 degrees towards the back and see if the Developer/toner leaks out any. If it does then you found the problem.
If it doesn't then you might just have an over toning problem. To check to see if you have an over toning problem, please the developer unit ON THE PAPER, get a philips screw driver, and put it in the rear White gear. You will see a series of gears but there is only 1 that is the located on the END of the Roller with the toner/developer on it. TURN IT CLOCKWISE about 1 turn and see if you see toner spilling out.
If you do, then your machine needs a Developer change.
Hope this helps.
Let me know if you have more questions.
If you need parts for this machine, I have a couple contacts that I can give you and you can see if they have the parts in stock.
Good Luck.
Mac
SOURCE: sharp ar5320 developer reset code
The developer doesn't have a reset code. It uses a calibration program instead with the reset integrated into it.
Even though the copy quality is fine for now, it can change in the next few days. You should order some developer.
