Thats the error for lamp driver error. Which means the Ballast is most likely defective. You can get the replacement ballast for your model at the following link which comes with installation instructions.

Check to see if you get Va and Vs voltages from the power supply. There should be some wires running to the y-sus. A couple of those wires will be labeled va and vs. Are they present? There will be a sticker stuck to the panel somewhere telling you what they should be.

Our LG TV will not power on. No light, no sound, nothing. How can we check the fuse on the power supply? Or could it be the power cord?

Hi Dfhamilton,
Damages due to lightening surge can go to any extent in a tv set. If you can, please open the back cover and check the fuse. Replace with the same rating one if you find it blown. Switch on the set. If it works, enjoy watching. If it blows again, please consult some TV tech.
Good Luck.

My bauhn tv isn't turning on at all. I was watching a show and it just turned off and now the standby light isn't turning on.

Hi Anonymous,
The power supply in your tv has gone dead. If you can, open the back cover, check the fuse, replace it if it is blown. If the set works well and good and if the fuse blows again, consult some local TV Tech.
Good luck.

I think my 55 in element tv had a power surge tv went to static then shut off when i was watching a movie on my dvd now no power the led light does not come on at all i open the back and i did not see any...

Are you competent in using a test meter? There is a high risk of electrocution if you are not! If you don't know what you're doing disconnect the mains and use resistance checks only.
Is there a fuse in the plug? If so check it for continuity
If not there will be a fuse on the power supply board which may be blown. This only applies if it is completely dead. You can check this by measuring the voltage at either end of the fuse.
You may need a new power supply.

Was watching my samsung LN55C630 TV and all of a sudden it just went dead. nlo picture and no sound, also the power light went out thats normally on when the tv is off.

Check the circuit breaker first for power to the outlet it is plugged into. If it is in a power strip then make sure that the reset is hit on that. I sounds like you had a line surge for some reason. If all else fails there is a fuse on the power board in the TV. Check to see if that is blown. If not check for black burn marks on the power supply board. Could have blown that altogether.

Hello,
you can solve the problem by opening the back cover of the television to check for blown fuses at the power stage of the printed circuit board, if found , replaced with the same current rating but if otherwise Ur power supply board is dead ,tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole refurbish power supply board for the replacement.
Hope this will help....

Hi there I have an LG Flatron L1920P and it just went dead. CaNn you give me a few tips on what to look for? Thanks

First place to check will be the caps in the power supply section. Look for caps with leaking/bulging top.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, blown fuses, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed LG and other monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

May try to replace your power supply. Average cost runs $200 via Internet. Also may inspect test & replace deformed an or any bulging caps.

I have a Vizio Model P50HDTV10a and it suddenly went dead. Their is no led nothing. Its a year and 4 months old.

Is the tv still under warranty? possibly a blown fuse if you don't get anything at all, you could inspect the power area, but be aware there are dangerous voltages inside.

Dead tv

Sounds like a power supply problem. I am sure that the pop is the fuse blown. If the fuse is blown, this means that there is a short somewhere. Rear projection TV are like LCD projectors. And all of them use Switch mode power supply. If you are lucky, there is a chance that a protection device (like a varistor) is sorted. This means that removing this, even without replacing will bring your TV to life, however... Most probably the power supply is defective.
