SOURCE: JVC video recorder - replacing rubber band

Not spinning disc If it spins with a little help from yourself replace the spindle motor with improved motor, part number: RXQ0749A Unable to detect discs The laser head was the culprit. Replacing it fixed the problem. (Laser head code GRP6278A) Dew indicator is on permanently. Cannot play or record tapes. No dew present - caused by internal fault This Camcorder uses very fragile flexible circuits to interconnect the PCB's. They plug in to edge connectors. It seems that when they made these camcorders at the factory, they had as many problems getting these film flexy circuits back into the connectors as us service engineers have. I saw one unit that had a crease in the flexy circuit which had caused a hair-line fracture. Solution, trace the wiring and solder a sub-miniature wire across the broken track. Don't disturb any flexy connectors that you don't need to. This camcorder is a **** to work on Not loading properly Usually due to incorrect head alignment or dirty head, or failure of LM324 op-amp Doesn't record properly, ie: looks like one channel is down when recorded, pre-recorded tapes are ok Check Q008 for dry joints

SOURCE: Cant remove drain pump cap of bosch washing macine

I just replaced my drain pump on my BOSCH washing machine WFL2060-so almost identical to yours. When I posted my question, I was told that it was a pain to do, that many repairmen refuse to do it etc.... even that the front panel does not come off. Well, I am a fairly petite (by athletic) woman, and very far from being an expert at repairing anything....
I just did it in less than 45 minutes with a screw driver and a pair of pliers (and a bit of common sense). Here is the protocol:
1- UNPLUG your machine
2- drain any water that could be left inside (at the bottom front right, you will find a small door: open it, the filter and the small black hose are there)
3- . put an old blanket on the floor behind your machine and a piece of wood long enough to go across the width of your machine- place it half way to what will be the height of your machine once it lies down on the floor- this will save your fingers in case you loose grip of the machine while tilting it down on its back...
4- tilt your machine back and down on its back: use your thigh muscles as the machine si a bit heavy (if you have a friend help you that will be easier-but I did it alone...
5- remove the bottom front panel (2 screws)
6- above the filter access you will see 1 to 3 screws: take them off
7- from the bottom of your machine, take out the electric plug at the back of the pump's motor
8- using your pliers (and a good grip) loosen the metallic braces that hold the 2 hoses and slide them down along each of the hoses
9- the unit will come off into your hand.
10- replace the unit with the new one
11- screw the unit back
12 plug the wires back
13 reposition the hoses (you cannot go wrong, they are on wither side of the pump)
14- slide the braces back onto the hose+pump outlet
15- tilt your machine back
16- plug your machine
17- you are ready for your load!
AND... you have saved about $200 without the part (I ordered it, paid $49 and was delivered to me within 2 business days!)

SOURCE: Replacing bands

Since the belts control the timing of the mechanism, I would not recommend this as a home repair. While relatively simple compared to some, this still is a delicate repair that can easily go wrong. Please bring this unit to an audio repair shop. Expect a parts cost in the $15-$20 range. There are 3 belts inside.

Spin cycle isnt not working

Hi there,

The spin cycle is reliant on the drain pump removing water from the tub.

It is a common ocurrance of objects (ie hair pins, pegs, coins etc) to be mistakenly washed through the cycle. Washing machines will often flush these objects down through the drain pump, and get caught in the little propeller of the pump.

So, it is imperative that you inspect the drain pump first and remove any obstruction within the drain pump cavity.

Turn machine power OFF at the wall and remove the power plug.

i) place an empty bucket on the floor
ii) lower the drain HOSE into the bucket - gravity will cause the water to drain into the bucket. Empty the bucket. Perform this procedure until all water has been emptied from the bowl.
iii) move the washing machine out from the wall, to gain access to the drain pump (usually a large screwcap). Place a large towel on the floor, under the screwcap - this will catch any remaining water that escapes.
iv) unscrew the drain pump cap and withdraw the cap. This cap may also contain a filter, so remove any lint/objects from this filter.
v) with the pump cap/filter removed, look inside the pump cavity and remove any visible obstruction from the impellar (little propeller thing). Then, with your finger, turn the little impellar in both directions - if you feel a 'rubber band' like resistance, then the drain pump may be ok at this point.
vi) remove all wet clothes from the machine bowl.
vii) re-assemble the drain pump cap/filter and secure it in place. Install drain hose back into your laundry tub. Plug machine back into power.
viii) fill the bucket with water and pour water back into your machine's bowl. Repeat with a 2nd bucket of water.
ix) manually select and operate SPIN cycle on the machine. Observe if drain pump functions correctly and empties water from the bowl. If yes, then you have resolved the problem.

If your pump has been cleared of all obtstructions but your machine will still not empty water from the bowl, then a full diagnostic will need to be carried out by an authorised service agent to determine which component has failed.

Let me know how you get on.....

Good Luck..

I am having a problem with my NEC NW752 Washing Machine. It runs through the cycle but will not drain the water. There were no kinks in the hose and when we hooked another washing machine it worked fine....

chances are that your daiwood / nec unit has a bad drain pump or perhaps the unit is not level or the drain hose is to high for the pump to pump out the water lastly

if you remove the front of the unit where the pump is located as you will see in the link I sent you there is a trap that may need to be cleaned out it has a hand screw cap that you can open and clean try that first before replacing the pump i sent you in the link NEC WASHING MACHINE WATER DRAIN PUMP NW752 NW891 NW652 NW 891 NW 81R eBay

Frigidaire GLTF2940ES0 Front Load Washer Washer won't drain, makes humming sound, did diagostics received error code E23 which is linked to drain pump relay and manual I found online said control panel...

before buying anythings, you have too check the manual too see if you didn't put it in factory test mode by accident. the manual is suppose to be under the top,(two screws on the back)
After that, second thing you have too do, remove the back (six screws) the drain pump is located under the the baril. there is a black rubber tube attached to it. In this tube, there is a basket that keed hard thing away from the pump. In my case, some hair pin pass the basket and block the pump rotor. The computer of the machine told me it was Error E23 but after cleaning, everything work like new!!

So try cleaning it yourself, it is easy even with basic skill. You will need a star screwdriver, a scare-screw driver, pliers.

Remember, better have the machine empty before doing anything, because you'll be working on the DRAIN LINE.

Hope that help someone.

Washer get to rinse cycle then reads OE on the

OE means OUTLET ERROR. If you have water in the machine, you can either drain the water using the small hose inside the lint filter door(bottom right hand side), removing the end cap. A second, and quicker method, is to lean the machine up against the rear wall at approximately 45 degree angle(TAKE CARE to secure), unscrew the lint filter cap, looking down the barrel you will most likely find: a coin(s), wire, rubber band(around impellor) etc. If your pump is unusually noisy, one of these items will have damaged the pump. ALWAYS take care checking clothing for these items before placing in washing machine as bowl damage is costly and NOT covered by warranty.

Ultima wf840 flashing f-05 dont know where filter is

I give you here the filter & pump details:

First empty the machine by lowering the hose at the rear to ground level into a container. Take off the white plastic cover on rear at bottom. You will see black rubber hose connected to barrel of machine in right hand corner. Undo the silver screw on the band securing the hose. (Biggest band). You can now pull the hose down to reveal a ball. Lift it out carefully and you will probably find an obstructions like a coins or clips. Do not take off the white hose clips.

After the filter comes the pump, disconnect. Slide pump to left and lift, it comes clear. Take off 2 black hoses only where connected to main machine. Pull off electrical connection. Pump and hoses lift out easily. 3 screws open the pump. Clean out any obstruction and reassemble. Refit all as you dismantled.
