the only reason that its not working is because Sprint locks their SIM cards so that you cannot use them on any other carriers. but it is possible. all you have to do is take the phone to AT&T and have them flash the phone to AT&T. another reason it won't work is because sprint is CDMA service, and AT&T is iDEN network and GSM. they aren't compatible. so you are unable to use the sprint SIM card in the AT&T phone. i am sorry.

You're gonna have to call the sprint carrier and give them the information on the handset to identify it via IMEI.

They will check to see if the previous owner fulfilled his two-year contract if the phone was purchased with subsidization. If the contract was complete then you can request a carrier unlock from Sprint and they should comply.

the easy and free way to unlock your phone is call your customer support and ask them to give you the unlock code. you can try other places but its really hit and miss and they charge for something that is free because by law your service provider has to give it to you
