SOURCE: blue ray player wont play blue ray ''Kung Fu Panda'' disc.

i fixed this exactly as previous posted solutions, however a couple of points.
a) recordable CDs work if you don't have a DVD burner.
b) I didn't have a CD burner that would do an "image burn", I downloaded a free copy of "Express Burn" and that worked fine. The disk needs to be "finalised" or "fixated", it should do this automatically, or it may be a tick box selection.
c) I got a "No DWLD 09" when I put the disk into the player. I found this was an incompatibility with the CD-R (Maxwell) I was using. I changed to JVC and it worked fine.

SOURCE: 42LG50 TV - Intermittant sound problems with blu-ray HDMI input

You say this doesn't happen on regular cable or when playing a regular DVD. Hmm. Is this Blu-Ray player connected by simplink? HDMI is a bi-directional format cable, so  there are cases in setups where your tv can send commands to your blu-ray player and vice versa. It could be a problem with your blu-ray player that it is sending for some odd reason a mute command to your tv. Or is processing a command that your TV interprets to be a mute command when playing blu-rays. Because if it was the TV itself chances are you'd see this when watching a normal DVD or on cable as well. Since you say you're not, it leads me to believe the issue lies with the blu-ray player itself.

SOURCE: I have a new HP

Hi,

This is a security feature of the High Definition Content that it does not allow veiwing of any high def content on dual displays.

There is a very simple fix to it...
Go to Nvidia control panel..
Select setup multiple displays..
Choose the option Single display ( one display at a time ).

Thats it.. This should enable you to play the blue ray dvds on the external display.

Regards,
Anup

SOURCE: The Yamaha RX-V463 AV does not playsound from the blue ray player

"I am also having difficulties in try to display the yamaha set up menu on the tv."
According to the manual the display menu for TV will not work with HDMI hook up.
I also have a Panasonic HD TV and can't get TV sound through my Yamaha AVR on "TV Sound" mode.  Trying to use HDMI cable for this also.  Do I need a digital optical cable or do I not have something set right?

Why can't I record on my DVR?

Check all your connections and configuration between decoder to DVR and TV. I find it is more practical to use the DMI connectors for this purpose. Between my LG TV, LG DVR, LG Blue Ray Player and Decoder I use 3 DMI connector cables. Ideal for me because my TV has 3 DMI points, I just connect each of 3 items to TV via a DMI cable. Now connect decoder to DVR via video-audio cable (red-white-blue). This setup allows each unit to be used individually (i.e. tv viewing, recording, blue ray playing and when recording live TV the TV can be switched off while recording. Just remember to select the appropriate DMI connected unit on your TV remote (on "input" button).

I am trying to connect my Samsung galaxy S4 phone to my Phillips smart TV 55pfl4909 with mhl to HDMI wires, but it's not working. I've watched videos on you tube & its suppose to be simple but mine is not...

The problem with MHL to HDMI is that there are two versions.

a 9 pin and a 11 pin.
Samsung S3 and below use 9 pin and S4/Note3/etc and up use the 11 pin.

Not all samsung use MHL but the S4 does.

Make sure you have the right MHL cable for your device.

I have encountered this problem personally and have bought a universal cable which covers both versions.

My brother has a Sony and also had wrong cable.
Now it works fine with correct cable.

LG blue ray won't play sound from RCA sound bar. HDMI cable is hooked into HDMi slot on TV

the details you provided were very vague, however from my experience when a device is connected to another device via and audio capable hdmi cable, that device renders it audio output to the device its connected to and normally turn off all other audio outputs beside optical- I would assume there is an option in the blue ray player to turn off hdmi audio, which will in turn activate other audio outputs- you may also look for audio out port on your tv, it is ideal to connect the sound bar directly to the tv set audio out ports. To sum this up,
if you plan to use your player via hdmi cable you need to turn off hdmi audio output on the blue ray player and the plug an audio cable from your blue-ray player to your sound bar
you may also as i said connect your sound bar directly to your tv, the issue is most tv sets now a days do not have an audio out port, if you do then everything you play thru your tv will have audio via sound bar
there are several way to go here but unless your sound bar has hdmi av switching capabilities (im sure not) this is one of the most simple--Good Luck.
