How to load Integrated Wireless LAN on my toshiba satellite a45-s1202

If your Toshiba Satellite notebook computer is equipped with a wireless Internet card, you can connect to a Wi-Fi access point by turning on the wireless switch on the side of the laptop. However, the signal may not always be picked up by your wireless receiver; if that is the case, you will need to check your wireless-network settings and reconfigure the network connections manually.

Open the Network Settings program. Click on the Control Panel in your "Programs" bar and select "Network Settings." This will give you options for modifying how you connect to the Internet. Select "Connect to a Network" or "Show Network Status and Tasks." Both selections will show you whether you are disconnected from the wireless network. Select "Manage Network Connections." This selection is located on the left side of the window; clicking on it will show you whether you are connected to a local area connection or wireless network connection. Engage the wireless connection. Turn your wireless switch to "On," then right-click on the wireless network connection. Select "Connect/Disconnect." Wait for the IP address acquisition. It may take a few minutes for your Toshiba Satellite to pick up the signal and transmit your IP address. When this is complete, you will see the word "Connected" next to the name of your wireless connection, and a series of bars that indicate signal strength. Launch your favorite browser to access the Internet using the wireless connection.

My toshiba laptop does not work on a lan. The icon

When you look at the Manage Network Connections link on the Network and Sharing Center you do not see
Local Area Connection?
Do you see Wireless Network connection?
You need to check the device manager to see if the card has been disabled.

It should show two entries with no red or yellow marks. One for wireless (WLAN) and one for wired (Ethernet)

Not getting connected to the Broadband internet

Right click on the wireless LAN and then click Repair. Do this in the Control Panel - Network Connections. This will force the wireless LAN card to get a new TCP/IP address from your wireless router.
When you get this Limited connectivity message do a repair - this is a common problem - the wireless connection icon is also on your Task Bar, you can right click in it to do a repair.

Lan internet

Hi,

the easiest way to setup internet on the laptop, is to go to control panel, and launch the network setup wizard. this will enable you to setup a new network, and scan for a local area network connection. this will also give you access to the troubleshooter. to solve any connection problems or issues, should there be any. If your using a wireless method. Your PC must also be able to transmit/receive wireless Signals. If hardwired you,ll have to use the network setup wizard, as this will auto determine I.P And any other DNS settings et,c.

Hope this Helps Mike @ compurepair.
