I see that your Frigidaire dehumidifier is displaying an error code of "ES" and you would like to the meaning of that error code. The "ES" error code stands for evaporator thermistor error. This could be a possible problem with your control panel, thermistor, or a wiring harness. I would recommend contacting your manufacturer for further assistance with your dehumidifier. Hello lynn crisp, thank you for your post!
From what you have explained regarding your Frigidaire dehumidifier it sounds like the sensor or control panel has become faulty. I would recommend resetting your dehumidifier and you can do that by unplugging the power cord for ten minutes. Is your dehumidifier under warranty? If so, you may want to reach out to the manufacturer for a resolution to the problem. I hope this information is helpful. -Matt
I appreciate your post, Lee Silvey!
I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier, FDL70S1, will only work in continuous mode. Sounds like you could have a possible issue with the sensor or control panel. Are you under warranty? I would advise you to speak with your manufacturer to see if any further resolution can be provided. -Matt
Hey friend, thanks for your post!
It sounds like your dehumidifier needs to be professionally cleaned. What could be causing the problem is a buildup on the inside of your dehumidifier where the water drains out and it is causing the water to not drain properly. Additionally, I would check to verify that the drain hole is tightly secured with the plug. I know you stated that the bucket is not leaking but have you removed it to verify? Please comment back if further assist is needed. -Matt
Hey friend, thank you for your post!
Based off the information you have provided I would recommend trying a different outlet within the home to make sure it is not that breaker. If testing your appliance on another outlet does not correct the issue it could be a power cord or control panel problem within your dehumidifier. Are you still under warranty? If so, you might want to reach out directly to the manufacturer to determine the coverage on your dehumidifier and the procedures to any potential remedy. -Matt

If your Frigidaire dehumidifier is not powering on it could be an issue within the control panel or power cord. I see you checked the outlet it was plugged into, I would test your appliance in another outlet. If you still receive the same response it sounds like it could be a problem within the panel or power cord. Is your appliance under warranty?
