I need to know how to take off the outer panels of the FFAD7033R1 frigidaire dehumidifier.

For the slightly larger model, FFAD7033R1, F1 turned out to be the humidity sensor. This can be accessed by removing just the back panel.

If you have a soldering iron for less than a nickel you can just replace the NTC Thermistor (small orange resistor 10k) on the small PCB. See attached image below.

In the image below just to the right of the white sensor you can see I removed the bad thermistor..

I see that your Frigidaire dehumidifier is displaying an error code of "ES" and you would like to the meaning of that error code. The "ES" error code stands for evaporator thermistor error. I understand that your Frigidaire dehumidifier, FDL70S1, will only work in continuous mode. Sounds like you could have a possible issue with the sensor or control panel. Are you under warranty? It sounds like your dehumidifier needs to be professionally cleaned. What could be causing the problem is a buildup on the inside of your dehumidifier where the water drains out and it is causing the water to not drain properly. Additionally, I would check to verify that the drain hole is tightly secured with the plug. I know you stated that the bucket is not leaking but have you removed it to verify? I understand that the condensation is turning to ice on your Frigidaire dehumidifier, model# LAD704TDL. This can be a possible cause of your dehumidifier being turned on recently. This is normal, due to refrigerant rushing through the coil. Frost will usually disappear within 60 minutes. Another possibility is the room temperature is too low. All dehumidifiers will operate satisfactorily at temperatures greater than 41 degrees Fahrenheit.
