Check ALL your USB ports.. If any of the USB ports have shorted contacts or if the 5v rails are shorted to ground, the power supply WILL NOT switch on.. Also, if any of the items connected to the board have a supply rail grounded, again the board will not allow boot up. Unplug everything from the board and the drive power connectors too, except the power connector to the board and the front panel switches and try to switch on, if it still will not boot, check and recheck the USB ports and all power connectors, if it does, switch off and plug another item in, then switch on again. When you get to the item which prevents the board from switching on, thats where your problem lies. Dont forget, plug things back in one at a time, including the power plugs to the drives and try and power up between each item, and dont forget to power down after each item has been checked..

Logic Control D Board got nothing to do with this problem. This is your main power supply gone bad(usually not the sub power supply). I just repaired my VIZIO by replacing main power supply. Just remove back cover and your board will be right in the middle of the screen. Just get board part/serial # and google it. My best price was through eBay(around $100). Everything is fine now.

MY PS3 WONT TURN BACK ON

Hi,
Either power supply problem or blown surface mount fuse on the main board. First check all SMD fuses on the main board, and the fuse on the power supply board. If the power supply board fuse has blown replace it and try again, if it blows again you need to replace the power supply. If the power supply seems OK check all SMD fuses on the main board. There are 7 on the V3 and about a dozen on the V4 / V5 / V6.
Good luck...

My sony kdf-42we655 has 7 flashing red blinks. please help.

Audio Protect (7 Flash): When DC voltage is detected at the speaker or
woofer outputs, IC3604/pin128 (TV-micro) goes low and IC3604 turns off
the main power (AC relay turns OFF).
Troubleshooting Tips:
1) Main cause of defective will be located on the KD-board
2) Confi rm KD-board is securely seated on the G2-board
3) Replace KD-board

Picture quality poor

1. Try this - hold the menu button down for 10 seconds. TV should power up; you will have to turn off front panel buttons on menu.

2. You can also try a hard reset: Unplug TV from AC mains and remove all cables from TV. Wait about 30 minutes and replug to AC power and redo the cabling. Switch on the TV and see if it works..

if not please follow these:

Troubleshooting Tips:
1) Main cause of defective will be located on the KD-board
2) Confi rm KD-board is securely seated on the G2-board
3) Replace KD-board

Thats a fairly complex Chassis. Unless youre really good at dissassemble and reassembly of small components, I would suggest a Sony authorized reapir tech do the repair.

Certainly, I can help you. I would recommend going to the following link and getting the service manual so he can see first hand disassembly instructions and testing proceedures. Its only 10.99 and they email it to you shortly after purchase. The manual is a valuable resource as it will have part numbers in case you do need a new KD board. heres the link.

If you power the TV set ON, count how many times the light on the front blinks?
Is very unlikely you have to replace the whole main board.
