If cant change in picture settings then bad board

Posted on Jan 18, 2020

Testimonial: "Tehnician is saying it's the actual LED panel that's faulty, but there are no damp spots or lines, just overall dim picture. Do you think it could just be a board that needs replacing? To replace the entire screen is same price as new tv :-( Should I get a second opinion from another technician maybe?"

SOURCE: tv still dim after adjusting

sounds like you may have gotten a pwer surge and blew out the regulator in the set. If you know how to trouble shoot regulator curcuitds then it could be as simple as the str type regulator. If you dont then open the set and see what module the set has it would start with a 9-something as it should be inside the back cover and then contact http://www.tristatemodule.com and see what they charge to repair the entire pcb or the exchange of the module. As Zenith sets are made to be repaired in house by quilifyed repair stations IN hOUSE. Good luck to ya.

SOURCE: Dark Screen even when i adjust the 'brightness' tab?

check the power settings on te unit, if it is set to default for the backlight, possible that your LCD's backlight is not powering up properly on the unit or LCD's backlight needs replacement.

It is there. Designed to have a brighter picture during the day and dim it in the evening. Have different names for the feature.

Check your manual out for it.

The leapster 2 screen is so dull you can hardly see the writing and programs. Very dark in colour. You can see colour arounf the edge of screen but the darkness overpowers the screen.

Jvc av-48wp74 48 in widescreen green projector problem

Projection TV sets have two very common problems listed below.

Problem #1) Convergence

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. This is called convergence.

When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired. Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony, Samsung,JVC,Philip Magnavox,Panasonic,Akai,Pioneer, Hitachi,Mitsubishi,Zenith and others.
You can get more information and a DIY convergenece repair kit with instructions from the link below.

Here are some of the most common problems with these sets...

*Screen Looks 3-D
*Colors wont align
*Screen may look distorted or warped
*No Audio/Video - TV Shuts down - May also make a constant chirping sound

Problem #2 - Another common problem is dull or washed out video.

Your set may have one or more of the following symptoms....

*Dull looking picture
*White looking picture
*Halos around objects
*Red/Orange looking picture
