My keyboard will not type anything, and, my phone is locked. can you please help me?

Does the problem occur outside of the operating system? For example, can you use the keyboard to enter the BIOS on boot up or if you are using Microsoft Windows, can you press F8 on the keyboard thereby causing the Microsoft Windows Boot Menu to appear?

If the keyboard does not function outside of the operating system, the problem is a hardware problem. If that is the case, you may need to reseat the keyboard cable on the motherboard. Maybe the keyboard cable has come loose.

If the problem is hardware related and reseating the cable does not fix the problem, you may need to replace the keyboard.

u can also connect ur pc to ur smart phone preferably nokia 6680 and type with the phone inbuilt keypad

When the computer went on I wasn't able to type anything so we turned off the computer to disconnect the keyboard when we turned the computer back on the number lock and cap lock lights started...

Please try a new keyboard! I had mine go out and did the same thing! I hope this helps!

Either address your "Num Lock" Key keyboard or your "Fn" Key on your keyboard. Either of these, or a combination of both should solve the issue.

Keyboard locked and i'm on my last try? 8350i curve with nextel

Remember that if you type in the PIN "5815" (example) on the BB keyboard without holding down the ALT key you are really typing "dxwd" but you can't see it because it does not show the typed letters only the *****. Try entering the letter form of the numeric passcode. One more example. If your passcode was "1234" enter "wers".

Lazy finger causing keyboard to lock in all caps??

Does it happen with everything you type or just in particular programs? If it happens in Microsoft word 2003 highlight the area where the all caps is happening then go to Format, Font. Under the Font tab there is a section called Effects, in this section there is an All caps option, uncheck it.

If it types all caps everywhere there could be a short in your keyboard. You can solve this by taking your keyboard apart using a multimeter to find the short and reconnecting with solder or electrical tape. Getting a new keyboard or talking to tech support can also help.

Keyboard lockup

Have you checked with your service provider to see if there are known issues with this on your device? It may be due to a manufacturer glitch. And then maybe not. Different providers have different solutions. I, myself have not ran across this error with record memor full. The keyboard lock sounds like something specific to the settings on the device. It always helps to put the type of Motorola phone in so that technical reps can identify whether they are familiar and trained on this model phone. Ie. Motorola Razor v3m device would help to determine where to start in troubleshooting.

MY CAPS LOCK IS STUCK, AND WILLNOT GO BACK TO REGULAR

Just had this happen on a K800 wireless keyboard. Went into keyboard settings and *enabled* the caps lock key, turned off caps lock, then *disabled* the caps lock key again. Hope it helps
