SOURCE: Clean Lint Filter Light Keeps Dryer from starting

Evidently the fuse blew for some reason.
Keep the dryer unplugged from power for one hour or so. If it still does start, you will have to take apart the dryer, check the fuse, check the thermal fuse, and test the wirings inside.
If you need to call arepairman use the number listed on the owner manual.

I could not find the model number you listed. I also would be very concerned about over heating until we can find and locate the problem. Look inside the door and compare number with the on listed here at Fixya. Thanks, Sea Breeze

SOURCE: Clean Dryer Lint Vent in Kenmore elite HE4

If you wish to clean the interior cabinet of the dryer follow these steps:

1. UNPLUG the dryer. Dangerous voltages are still present even with the dryer turned off.

2. Open the dryer door and remove the lint screen. IMPORTANT: You must remove the lint screen first in order to remove the blower fan housing.

3. Remove the lower toe panel directly below the dryer door by removing the screws under the bottom front edge of the panel. With the screws removed, the panel will drop down, then come off. NOTE: For better access, you can prop the front feet of the dryer up (a 2x4 works well).

4. Loosen the screws on the blower fan housing directly below the drum and remove. There's usually a small clip holding the cover in at the bottom that you may need to pull out to release. NOTE: You may also have to disconnect the auto dry sensor plug (yellow wires with white plug - use a small screwdriver to release the locking tabs) and/or ground wire to accommodate removal of the cover.

You should now have access to the dryer interior and the blower fan squirrel cage motor. Take the time to clean out the blower fan housing cover as well. A long bristle brush made for dryers works well at removing any lint inside the dryer in the hard to reach places, followed by vacuuming.

NOTE: After cleaning, you may experience a slight burning odor. This is normal as lint gets stirred up in the cleaning process and can settle on the heating components. The odor should dissipate after a short period of use.

If you have any questions, please let me know. I hope this helps you.

FA Stackable Washer / Dryer combo... LINT TRAP FULL / CYCLE STOPS

Question edited for clarity.

I can think of two things.

First wash the lint filter with dish soap and give it a gentle scrub with a plastic pot brush. Fabric softener can gum them up and impede the air flow.

Check the hose at the back for lint build up in the hose itself and in the tube at the back of the dryer. Finally check the flaps on the wall vent for smooth operation and they they are opening fully. If you have the old type with a circular flap, you might even find a birds nest in there!

Although the error light is telling you to clean the lint filter, it is actually registering reduced air flow and an overheat situation.

My whirlpool dryer AWZ129 filter light keeps coming on after about 5 mins of use. The dryer is still working, but the filter is perfectly clean. Anything I can do or something to worry about?

Always be sure the entire exhaust duct is clean from where it exits the machine to where it exits the home, but the clean lint filter lite should come on after/between every load, I wouldn't worry.

We have a admiral dryer that continues to shut itself off after only 10-15 minutes of use. It will work again after about 30-45 minutes. It seems to me that it is a safety feature that keeps the dryer...

that is a damaged motor and it has to be repaced.there's an overload in the motor that's shuting it down when the motor cools down it will run again.most likely you cleaned it out a little to late.if you put a new motor in or repalce the dryer you have to clean out the dryer once a year if it's gas or once every two years if it's electric.you need to remove the vent line from the back of the dryer,if it's a long run to the outside i use a leaf blower and blow out the line,i've found birds nest in there and alot of other junk after the owners said they cleaned it out, next with the dryer unplugged you need to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into, usually you have to take the dryer apart to do this, next with a shop vac,vac up the lint in the cabinet where the motor is and then switch it to blow and blow off the motor,i can't tell you how much lint comes out and from around the motor even though it looks clean,if you do this you won't be changing out any motors, your clothes will dry ontime and you won't have to worry about having a fire.when you take the dryer apart check the rear of the drum and see if lint is stuck around the back of it,usually when the motor is running to hot the oil leaks out of it and it sprays up onto the drum and on the side wall.if the dryer is in good shape send me the model number,i can look up your motor and tell you how to change it out.good luck

My dryer makes the clothes hot but it will not

What is the model number of your dryer? There should be some kind of lint trap somewhere. But anyway if your cloths are getting hot but not drying than the poroblem is air flow. I would start by taking the venting pipe off and seeing if there is a clog somewhere in there. Make sure there is no screws in the venting itself, if there is it will cause a clog up, Use duct tape to re attached the pipes. If there is no lint clogs up then it will be internal clog somewhere. So depending on how handy your our, it need to be opened up and cleaned out. make sure you unplug the unit before doing any work on the dry itself. most times you can just tilt the dryer and access the bottom and see if you can find the clog that way. If that doesn't help you much give me the model number and I will see if I can help you some more

My dryer is blowing lint out through the vent outside, I clean my lint trap every load, but it still sends lint outside

this is normal for lint to blown out the ducting because not all the lint will be collected on the lint filter when you remove the filter some lint may fall of down into the duct housing.there is nothing ot worry about

Is there supposed to be a hole on the side of my dryer

Well, though it be simple, you might clean the lint filter everytime you use it. Over time a dryer even with lint filter cleaned will still collect small amounts of lint inside it. You shouldn't worry much but you could call the maytag man to come and take apart the dryer and clean the inside. <;O)

The check filter light is just a reminder light and cannot be reset.  Nothing to worry about.  Just keep the filter clean before each use.
