I so appreciate the tip I am trying to use your information! It does have a R on the stitch length dial. So far I have not found a picture quite comparable. It however also has a tag on the front American Sewing Machine Company Richmond VA. I have not been able to find this company yet on google. I also would like to update my post with an actual picture of the machine. Perhaps someone could help me find something that would be quite similar to it and I could use its manual for comparison. I am not sure why I am so intrigued but I am fascinated with all the new history and knowledge I am learning about creation of the sewing machine and the mechanical progression!

Possibly a Tacony FA6724 which I believe is a rebrand Riccar. Google search " riccar sewing machine" and compare pictures to yours.

There's a website called managemyhome.com which is sponsored by Sears. It's free to join. Go to the Home Manager column and choose Owner's Manuals from the drop down menu.
You can type in the brand name (Kenmore) and model number of your machine. Not all of them are in there but, I did find the one for the 1950280 question. It's a pdf file.
For the 38516764 question, please double check your model number. I received either no response or a Kenmore Elite dishwasher manual in response to my query.

Thank you so very much! I have tried to order this once. It also was the only one I have found so far. Unfortunately it was no longer available. But I should try to call and see if they can possibly get another or if by chance have gotten it back in.
