SOURCE: optical wireless mini mouse 98763 feature #9 is

I had all the same problems listed in fixit and found that all it took was placing all NEW batteries in the mouse.
Press the blue light button on the USB and the little black reset button on the bottom of the mouse at the same time. Worked good from there on.

SOURCE: HP 8159URF Wireless Keyboard Dongle lost! How can i use it?

Unless you can find not only the exact part number but a dongle with the exact same serial number its not possible.Having the same issue.I say shame on HP for creating this issue by not wanting to sell type specific replacements to resolve this problem. They would prefer that you buy an entire new set. Good Luck.

That should be a battery problem since it won't light up. But you might need to press a connect button on the mouse and the usb transmit device so they'll find each other.

How to connect a microsoft mouse to a microsoft 1447 dongle

The thw wireless mouse is paired from fabric wirh USB dongle for same mouse. You can't connect a wireless keyboard to it because they are no different frequency. Actually it's hightly improbable that you even could connect the USB dongle of a mouse with another different mouse. Explanations is logical: presumeyou are in a big office whate another 1 users have wireless keyboards or "mice". Now, imaginge the mess if the dongle of your keyboard should control the mouse of another 9 usrs.
Now, it's competely different with bloetooth keyboards and"mice"

I LOST THE USB DOGGLE FOR MY GE MINI WIRELESS OPTICAL MOUSE 9879 CAN I DOWNLOAD DRIVERS OR SETUP INSSTALLATON AND SAVE IT TO A FLASH DRIVE. THANKS, ADAM WOLFE

No, that dongle was a radio transmitter / receiver, not just a flash drive.
It's the equivalent of losing the base for a wireless phone. Without the base, the phone is useless.

Welcome to FixYa!

Here's a quick checklist to resolve your wireless mouse connection.

Solution 1.
1. If the underside of the mouse has an on/off switch, make sure to set the switch to the "On" position.
2. Make sure that the battery of the wireless mouse is placed correctly and is not drained.
3. After checking the first two steps, the optical lens on the underside of your wireless mouse should be flashing once in a while. If not, there is something wrong with the battery, the wireless mouse switch, or the wireless mouse itself is defective.
4. Connect the USB dongle in the USB port and let it install automatically.

Solution 2.
5. Connect the USB dongle in another USB port and let it install automatically.

Solution 3.
6. Restart the computer with the wireless mouse turned on and the USB dongle inserted in the computer.

Solution 4.
7. Download and install the drivers from here http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?cc=us&lc=en&dlc=en&softwareitem=ob-47909-1

I hope that this will help.

Purchased new laptop and wireless mouse, first day worked great, after a week tried to use mouse again.....just not working have replaced battery no luck

I would try unplugging the usb receiver and restarting the computer.
Then plug it back in.
Sadly, with these, along with replacing the battery, that's the only option.

Microsoft & Wireless Notebook Optical Mouse - Slate - VSBX300008 Model 1056. I plug it in, and it works but after a while it stops working completely. I try reconnecting, re plugging it in everything...

Here's what you need to do:

1. First, replace the batteries. Try to use regular batteries (only for testing).
NOTE: Do not put the mouse on the cradle or charge the mouse if you're using regular batteries.

2. Try to connect the wireless USB dongle in to different USB ports of the computer. If same problem occurs, try to use different computer and see if the same problem occur.

3. Make sure that there's no possible wireless interference near the computer. Like base of the cordless phone, cell phone, and any other wireless devices that are using RF signals. They might interfere with the RF wireless signal of your mouse.

If it behave the same thing on different computer, then you may need to contact the manufacturer for repair.

Thank you and good luck!

Lost the Mi mouce usb ir indicator

First, contact the manufacturer to verify with them if you can buy a separate USB IR dongle.

The USB dongle should work with your wireless mouse, though it's not the original receiver of it. They just need to detect each other and they will work together.

But if the manufacturer say that, you cannot buy a separate USB IR receiver, then you need to check the mouse itself and see if there's a USB port and check if it's capable of becoming a wired mouse.

If that's the case, you just need to buy a USB cable, then you can use your mouse as a wired mouse.

NOTE: Not all mice are capable of converting itself from wireless to wired. You just need to check your mouse. And that is only an option.

Good luck!
