I'm using a Nikon D3100 with a kit lens & my 55-200mm lens. And most of the time I encounter a problem every time I press the shutter button due to r07?

  • The "r07" message on a Nikon camera typically indicates the number of available shots in the camera buffer. It's not an error but rather an informational message. The number "r07" means that there are seven shots available in the camera buffer before it fills up. This is a normal part of the camera's operation and doesn't necessarily indicate a problem. It's more noticeable when you're shooting in continuous or burst mode. If you experience issues beyond this, it's advisable to check your camera settings and consult the camera manual. https://caranddriver.com/

I encounter a problem r07 using my Nikon D3100 with 18-55mm kits lens or my 55-200mm lens. How can I fix this? Thank you.

On Nikon cameras this isn't normally an error code. Have you got a memory card in the camera? Check that it isn't nearly full.
r07 common comes up as an information prompt referring to the memory space in the camera. '07' being 7 shots remaining.
If the card isn't full try this. Turn the camera off. Remove the battery. Remove the memory card. Leave it like that for at least 15 minutes. Connect the memory card to a computer or a laptop and check you can still look at and move the images that are on there. This is to check the memory card isn't corrupted (developed a fault).

D7000

These are unrelated issues.

The FEE means that the lens isn't locked at its minimum aperture. Turn the aperture ring on the lens to f/22. You can control the aperture from the camera body, the same way as with a lens without an aperture ring.

The r07 simply indicates how many shots you can take in the current burst before the buffer fills and the camera has to slow down while it writes the buffer to your memory card. As long as the number is more than zero, it should not affect your shooting.

Hi i have a nicon d70 it was working fine when taking photo's on saterday went to change lens from sigma 28-70 to sigma to sigma 75-300 and it came up with error code R07 and noththing worked changed back...

Have you tried formating the memory card? R07 means it has 7 shots in internal memory. Since you have already pressed the reset through the small hole in the front, if formatting the card does not work, try downloading the latest firmware from Nikon and installing it.

Error in D70s

The r07 is just a display that tells you how many pictures you have memory for in the buffer. It's not an error code at all. It will change when you change resolution, since pictures at low resolution take less memory than at high resolution. On the D70s this number will go from about r04 to r11 as you go from RAW down to low resolution.

My d80 with 18 - 135 mm lens often does not work in the automatic mode and the screen shows 'r07'. It works in all the other modes and sometimes even the automatic mode will work. Any suggestions? VM

What focus mode? In AF-S the shutter won't release until focus is acquired.

The r07 isn't an error. It's simply telling you how many more pics you can take in burst mode before the buffer fills up.

How do i clear the buffer for d70? getting r07 message. my settings are jpeg normal large format

The buffer clears automatically, as the pix get written to the memory card. If you get r07 the next time you take a pic, then the buffer has cleared from the previous pic.

There is a problem only if you get to r00 and it stays there.

R07 Message When Shutter Release Is Held Down Halfway

The r07 is not an error. It's simply telling you how many more shots you could take in burst mode before the buffer fills up.

PERFORMING THIS MODIFICATION ON OTHER ENGINE CALIBRATIONS IS UNAUTHORIZED AND COULD CREATE LIABILITY UNDER APPLICABLE FEDERAL OR LOCAL LAWS. ISSUE: Some vehicles may stall on deceleration and/or have an intermittent stall in warm weather. This may be caused by the vapor control valve not supplying a steady flow of fuel from the tank to the intake manifold.
ACTION: Replace the fuel tank, vapor control valve, fuel fill tube cap and clamp. Install heat shield over fuel tank and reprogram the Powertrain Control Module (PCM). This should reduce the possibility of stalling. Refer to the following text for details.
Perform all diagnostics for stalling by following the procedures outlined in the 1996 Powertrain Control/Emissions Diagnosis (PC/ED) Service Manual and 1996 Taurus/Sable Service Manual, Pages 03-13-5 through 03-13-8. Check to be sure Grounds 401 (sedans) and 400 (wagons) are secure. Check for a kink in the canister vent hose and repair as required. If no other concerns are found, reprogram the PCM using the latest level CD-ROM update disc and refer to the following PCM Application Chart for correct PCM usage. Replace the fuel tank, vapor control valve, and vapor management valve by following the procedure outlined in the Instruction Sheet included in the Fuel System Service Kit.

Troubleshooting r 07

An half solution: The "r nn" message is not an error message, it just reports the current size of the memory buffer. Look up "Memory Buffer" in the manual.
