My ZTE grand x Max 2 battery drains really fast and it keep shutting off before it fully drains

Have you tried to update the phone's software/firmware? You should be able to get the update software from Sony Ericsson website and follow the instruction. Hope it helps.

Before the battery drains, does the phone gets hot in any way?

If your phone gets hot, then maybe the problem is from the phone board.

But if your phone does not gets hot before battery drains, then it is obvious that the fault is from your phone battery.

The solution therefore is for you to change your battery to an original one. The same problem might persist if you don't purchase a good battery, please take note.

Batteries do not last forever, they often need to be changed, Looking at the specs of this phone the battery MaH is pretty low for the type of phone that it is. Android phones can drain batteries quite fast, and depending on how long you've owned the phone.

Well, it really depends on many factors. I guess that you are using many apps at the same time (Background apps consume battery).

Another possibility is that your battery is asking for a retirement. Replace it and see if the problem persists. You may need to take it to the repairman.
