I have a samsung UN55J6201AFXZC LED Tv I purchased 2 years ago. The picture is no longer working properly. When I turn the tv on, there is a faint grey picture in direct sunlight. I've attampted un plugging for an entire night and re plugging the next morning. I've attempted a software update and a picture reset. None of these have fixed the problem. I've also tried re-booting the tv and that didnt work. I tried Samsung chat for them to diagnose the problem, but they just said I need a technician. Ever since dealing with Samsung, in unable to see any faint picture on the screen, just black but it is on. From everything I've read it sounds like I need a new backlight inverter. Are you able to confirm if this is the part I need?

Convergence ICs are STK392-110 you will need two of them they are available at the link I am posting and they give free instalation instructions with pics and free tech support so you can do the repair yourself.Heres the link.

SOURCE: no picutre just black-loud pop when I turned it on

You may have blown parts, look inside and inspect the power supply module and the back light inverter board, I will leave the TV unplugged.

Check for any loose soder points or loose connections with wiring sockets to backlight inverter board.

It could be your mainboard. How long did you have the TV?

SOURCE: I have a Samsung 60" LED TV. Everything work except I have no picture. I have sound and a backlight on the screen. I can change sources but do not see any images. I think that the T-CON board is bad.

You only have 3 modules in the back of that unit, the wifi and the sound master board and the video board. Samsung knows they have a issue with some, there is a diagnostic mode that will help you to determine, I would contact tech support before I bought a 350.00 module just to confirm, however I think your on the right track
