SOURCE: Dacor Oven Won;t Heat
power surges can short out the electonics in appliances. If you can locate where the tech sheet is and I would say its behind the control panel on top, look at the wiring diagram and see if there are any replaceable fuse's. Or a resetable fuse for the heating element. If not check to see if power is getting to the main control bord. If there is power there you may need to replace the control.

Just a follow up report on aborcass's solution to the oven problem.
Just took delivery of the suggested part, removed old thermister and installed new part, back to the breaker and apply some juice to the circuit.
Turned on oven....BINGO!!!!!
Oven now is as hot as the wife would like it!!
Well done and well earned FixYa (already awarded)!!
Many thanks again

I found the lower circuit breaker had been tripped. That didn't fix the problem but upon further inspection whoever had worked on the unit years ago had dropped a screwdriver that had lodged between the oven wall and the rear casing and shorted out the lower heating element. I removed the screwdriver and oven works fine now. I don't think that will solve the cmmclow problem but maybee the curcuit breaker is tripped.
