if it has a paper jam. it should show on the display/panel which the position jammed.
then you open up the cover of it..

SOURCE: I have canon ir 2270 there i no jamed paper in the copier,but it signals paper jam and can,t work,can flashing with soft ware clear the problem

Do you know what is the jam code. Probably you have the sensor in duplex entrance stuck or theduplex entrance guide stuck and not moving freely hence putting pressure on the sensor. Btoh are situated on the side door upper part. Hope this helps you solve the problem.
