Go to the Google Play Store. Speak "keyboard" in the search. You should see an app for Google Keyboard 2-3 down. Make sure it is enabled. Once enabled you will be able to turn off Google Speech.
Try Opening your settings.
Choose Language and input.
Tap the item google keyboard.
Ensure that the predictive text is /active. On some tablets, place a check mark by that item on others, slide the master control to the On position. Check all necessary functions that you think may cause the problem. If that doesent work, Force/restart your device. You probably done that already so if thats not it Set to factory settings. Update keyboard harddrive panel. Bad news If that doesent work could possible be a harddrive failure. I hope my advice helps you take care.
