Switched off power then switched on again following day but display has not returned

Alright - I am the person who left the message before. I left the oven on for a while with the A showing and the time started ticking away. I then pushed the end of cooking time button and then the button that switches the oven back to manual. Hope this helps you. Good luck.

The pop would usually mean a busted fuse. Turn off the oven, disconnect completely from the power supply and then take it apart. See if you can find any toasted fuse or roasted wires. Also the reason for tripping the mains off is due to the fact that the oven is draining more power than it should. I would recommend a thorough inspection of the oven by an electrician..

It sounds like you have either one of the following things that need attention. First, turn off both breakers to the oven and then back on. Next check the wiring from the receptacle to the back of the oven. Next, check your internal fuses. Most ovens have them. Last, check the wiring to the elements and control switches. Somewhere you have a wire burned off the terminals or control switch. That smell you referred to is probably one of the wires that may be burned.

Hello, The first thing I'd look at is your owner's manual to insure the timer hasn't been set to "Sabbath" mode accidently. If that is the case you could experience a "no display" scenario. The manual will also explain how to enter/exit the "Sabbath" mode. In the event the timer itself is at fault ( i.e. the display transformer gone bad ) it will have to be replaced or (if an available option exist's for your timer) have your timer rebuilt. Hope that help's and please take a second and rate the info provided by me here at fixya. Thank you and good luck. macmarkus :)
