SOURCE: motor has burning smell. belt and controller were
May I ask witch belt? Most treadmills have two belts, one to drive the gearing and one the patient walks/runs on. The tension and alignment are factors in the load on the motor. Too much tension on the belt the patient stands on will overload the motor. Alignment of both belts is a load factor. Eliminating the belts, tension, belt rollers, and control only power wiring and the motor is left. If the motor is the culprit call a local electric motor repair shop for testing and possible repair. Maybe cheaper than a new motor. : ) : )

You have one of three things wrong. Either a bad console, bad motor or a bad wiring harness.
If you have a flashing light on the controller when you attempt to start the machine then you more than likely have a bad motor. (this has a long warranty may be able to get one for free, check the back of your manual)
If there is no flashing light on the console then you will need to check the wire harness. This unit is known for pinching wires at the lower section where the upright connects to the lower frame. To check this you will need to remove the console. Three screws on each side and the wire harness on the right side will need to be unplugged. Then remove the right upright by removing the two bolt located on the bottom of the frame. Then do a visual inspection for pinched wires especially where the upright connects to the lower frame.
If the harness looks ok then you will more than likely have a bad console.

Because you are hearing the lift motor making a noise, it sounds like the gears in the motor are bad. The fix is to replace the lift motor.
Dear Sir:
You need to RUN YOUR SOFTWARE CALIBRATION, most of them is coming the instruction below from Hood of motor, follow the step, or use your instr.manual.This is for easy diagnose and troubleshooting.
2) Adjust the sensor speed +tight the wires, see the diagram below.
3) You must Test the main motor for Open+Short Winding.
4)Test the transformer for primary and secondary voltages.
5) See if in power supply you get +5vdc, for digital circuit.
6)Lubricate the deck vs walk belt.

Dear Sir:1) Lube the deck belt, maybe you have a deck belt worn, and need replace.2) Test the input voltage for main motor, if there are the motor need repair or replace.3) Test the output voltage from main board for input voltage motor, if there are NOT, the board is faulty.4) See the drive belt and replace it.See my personal tips for HELPsincerely. God bless you
